I understand doing that if it's a chocolate bar or small bag of skittles or something, but a whole bag of bananas make very little sense. Hypo delirium I hope? :)

Sweets are always worth exploring as far as I'm concerned. ;) Not to mention you can't always be confident you've had enough when it doesn't go up as expected or quickly enough for whatever reason. If I coincidentally happen to be out grocery shopping or something while trending downwards I...

They act faster than other sweets then I take it? Personally I wouldn't make any distinction between 2.1 and anything below that when it comes to eating or drinking to recover as the difference is negligible, but each to their own.

LO is less than 2.2 I think, or at least that's the lowest number I remember seeing. And regarding bananas, you're not limited to just one if you're particularly low. ;)

What's with the obsession over jelly babies anyway? It's always the one used to describe recovering from a hypo here in the UK, when just about any other sweet would do the same job. I tend to have a banana at hand for these things myself.

    Low Sugar In Morning.

Would expect this to be a problem with basal, if you're splitting basal you should probably just lower the dose before bed a little.

I believe @kev-w uses tegaderm and he's a swimmer, can't speak for it or anything similar myself though as I'm not a swimmer.

If Anyone Can Relate, Plz Help.

I've been in almost the exact same state, same ages even, except I never saw anyone for psychological help or sought out medication beyond insulin. I walked alone, as always, and I eventually moved to a different country by myself to get away from everything and start anew.

    Meals

I try to have dinner at roughly the same time every day in order for my liver to kick in at roughly the same time every day, other than that I don't see the point in having a set number of injections per day or set times per day where you have to eat or inject.

Experiences With Hypos, Alcohol, Other Medication And Health Conditions

You're incorrectly assuming that I get a hypo after drinking, which was a problem I used to have due to bad basal regime but have since sorted out. Again, now since getting a Libre, I do not get hyper while drinking, or more accurately I can treat it with ease if I do become hyper, while not...

If you are in a chocolate store to buy a gift, and the cashier offers you a free chocolate,

You're a re-gifter? You must have some happy friends or whoever receives your wine bottles. ;) I'll eat stuff if my sugar is good or in need of a boost, otherwise I'll keep it for later.

That looks exceptionally good to me, though as I've said if that was my body those <4 would make me feel a but weird, barely any double digits either by the looks of it. Achieving PWP levels consistently is an unattainable goal as far as I'm concerned, so I just try to stay within levels that...

That's a bit low, no? I feel no different between 5 and 8, but 4 and dropping I start to feel weird. Or perhaps my body composition is a bit different from you witches/terminators? ;)

    Alcohol

That's definitely the excuse I use for having tons and tons of sweets near my bed. ;)

    Alcohol

Probably, but the point is that there isn't a lot of carbs in those drinks except for the espresso martini. I can easily drink a bottle of wine by myself and it has virtually no effect on my sugar levels. Again, beers and ciders will contain a lot more carbs and you would usually drink a lot...

    Alcohol

At least in my experience those particular drinks should be pretty irrelevant to your sugar levels, particularly as part of a meal. There should be nothing to worry about. If you were drinking beers or ciders and such, it's a completely different story.

    Mood Swings

It can be directly linked to your blood sugar levels, low blood sugar will often cause a shorter fuse and impatience, at least in me, while high blood sugar usually causes laziness and foggier thinking.

Would expect the liver to start pumping glucose into my system in a few hours, as usual. There's no magic involved, just my lunch apparently not raising my sugars enough to require bolusing for a change, I've had similarly weird days before.

No, I was diagnosed 15 years ago. :)
