Thing is though, it could be as high as 2.0, but it isn't necessarily, it could be much lower than that. When you know it's low, but not how low, it's not a good idea to make an assumption that it's just hit 2.0, because that might not be the case. I woke up with a 1.6 once with a freestyle optium, so if I saw a lo I wouldn't mess around with bananas, and I didn't then either. There is no value in virtuously eating a banana, instead of sweets, when blood sugar is so low.
I do treat a hypo with bananas when it's not very low, but I do find it takes longer than sweets, not much longer, but enough, when it really matters, to make a difference.
