Hi Gemma, my son will be starting nursery in September this year. We thought we should give it a chance and then if problems occur, take him out. Are u in the same situation?
Hi, please take your daughter asap as my son had T1 when he was 11 months old and they told us he wouldn't have woken up the next morning if we didn't take him to A & E when we did. Don't want to frighten you but please take her. Read my blog (which needs updating) for our story...
Kathryn & Goochie - thank you so much for your replies. I'm sorry it's been a while since you replied and I have only just responded! I just don't know where the time has gone!! We have been looking for school nurseries for our son to start next September and will see if he gets the support he...

Hi, that's exactly what we want our son to do - be happy and do whatever he wants. Diabetes can be managed with care and as we always say, there are people worse off. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks everyone. I'm glad my Tocky's journey has been of interest to you all. This means alot to us. I will be posting in about an hour or so about his anxieties. Please feel free to have a read.
Thanks again.
Hi Everyone,

Oh he really is very active! I've been buying pouches since he was diagnosed but thought it would be easier to make my own as I want a few spares as some of the companies have a 4 week dispatch time! Not a great way to keep customers!
Hi, I've actually done them for my 2 year old type 1 because I thought it would be nice for him to have a range of different characters. I've seen spibelts but haven't tried them for him yet. I think it's good to try different types like your crotchet type for discretion - good idea!
Thank you. It is Enlite Sensor and he has it on his bottom cheek as he is 22 months old and diagnosed at 11 months. Has had soreness with cgm plasters and we have been given a barrier cream but never had a lump!
I removed my sons CGM as the readings were erratic but his skin was really sore under the plasters. Whilst cleaning the area, I felt a lump and it's still there today. I know you can get lumps from infusion sets but he's been fine with those. What should I do? Help!!
Thank you for all your comments.
We are currently looking at our options and Carol, I will be in touch if we decide to go ahead, Andiej, thanks for your comment too.
Hi Carol. Thank you for your response. I'm glad you have positive feedback regarding homeschooling. Did u ever use any private tutors? Nice your husband was supportive - mine is too!
What did he do for work? I have thought about it and probably would follow the curriculum just to ensure my son...
Thank you. There a quite a few parents who have had problems with schools and I just don't know if I can trust the teachers to look after him. Also, I don't want him being ill because they can't be bothered. I think he would learn better at home without being stressed too. I'm glad ur sons...
