@Scott-C I do this ^ I got a nasty reaction to the adhesive that comes with the MM on my arm. I use rock-tape and had no issues. I will usually cover the whole thing with Tegaderm when I am swimming.

Afternoon all [emoji173]️ Sharps bin has not been collected for two weeks in a row now :/ Does everyone else use a sharps bin... ? Not going to lie, I went through years of just putting used needles in a class jar as on diagnosis no one ever gave me one and it only came up once I moved and...

A question about Basal dosage in a low carb diet

The simplest answer is no... whilst basal testing you don’t want any quick acting insulin on board or don’t want to be giving any. I take a split dose of Levemir- morning and evening. They are roughly 12 hours apart and I often do a basal test. Before basal testing I always make make sure...

&Mel dCP I get lots of compression lows or my graph is usually like that if my sensor is on its last two days.

oh dear! Sending virtual hugs for those who need it today :) Bloods taken today so of course I was in double figures throughout the night and this morning. Appointments/Bloods send my levels through the roof. NOT looking forward to my results, seem to be more relaxed with my levels so expected...

    Ivf - so confuzzeld!!

Hi Gemmz, I have also been approved funding and I am waiting to start my first round. Stressing (easier said than done) definitely doesn’t help.... Not sure how it works for you but with my the IvF clinic are relying on me to know/manage the diabetes side of it. There has never been any...

Evening all. Awful few days with a migraine. (Not had one for over a year). Still not 100%. Levels not been too bad (on the higher side of my target) but ok. Annoying as I am due bloods on Friday. On a happier note- appointment at the diabetes clinic today/course by someone from Abott & left...

@slip- argh, that is frustrating. I usually ignore everything my nurse tells me and just grin and bear it - as I ‘have’ to see her annually. Did make me cross when she tried to take the credit for my reduced hba1c- at which I made it clear, I only achieved by ignoring her advice [emoji16]...

Evening all! I have had a very Busy (good busy) week so not had a chance to catch up on everyones posts. A busy week at work and a weekend catching up with family and friends. Nothing exciting to report on bloods. Hopefully last set of tests coming up and if everything is in range... can...

Defo, the cold weather used to make mine rise. But like you- the last 2-3 days I have had lots of lows. @Mel dCP- ditch the sensor? Abbot should be able to replace that?

Hills and valleys today [emoji22] Cant win. Spike alarms woke me up twice in the night... I was clearly so tired, under-treated my lows and went back to sleep. Woke up for work but sill low! Fed up by this time and over treated it. A correction two hours later proved to be too much and sent me...

What an awesome Monday morning. Been steady at 5.5 since last night. Yummy low carb breakfast followed by a phone call from my DSN - asking me to attend an afternoon course after which, I will be given 3 months worth of libre [emoji120]
