Ovulating/Fertile days and Impact on BG

So turns out I was not ovulating and it 'was' SHARK week. Little bit surprised- to say the least, as this was my shortest cycle ever- (or since PCOS). PCOS&Type1- fun and games!!! @Juicyj - made a note of the insulin/basal adjustments I have made for shark week. Now I just need to make sure I...

    Targets for preconception

My pre-conception clinic suggested a blood test once a month to make sure I was I was in the right place whilst trying to conceive- so I am still having monthly Hba1c tests. They recommend a Hba1c of 48 or below, although I have had a consultant who was happy with my to conceive when my levels...

@slip- I have really tight targets (set by my conception/fertility clinic). I switched my alarms off over the weekend and woke up in double figures [emoji85] I find if I wake up in range it gives me a head start for the rest of the day. @Knikki totally guesstimated and Chinese went well... sat...

Another night time low [emoji85], another basal reduction tonight. Just want one nights sleep without any alarms going off [emoji2]. Atleast last weeks resistance has backed off and I am back in target :) That will all go out the window tonight as we are getting a Chinese [emoji85] still not...

Coconut oil (or a dab of baby oil) works wonders! Always has for me :) With LC/Keto we always have coconut in the house too.

Morning :) Bedtime reading 6.3 3am alarm- dropped down to 3.3 a couple of dextro tablets and back to sleep. 6am- down to 3.6 [emoji85] treated with dextros. Delaying my foot on the floor dose- so expecting it to rise quickly once I am up and moving about....

Eye screening - done! @Mel dCP- I spent years avoiding seeing the dentist but after a bad case of gum disease- been trying to keep on it. Ah basal testing- was mixed. Gave my usual morning levemir dose (6.30am) plus 1.5units of quick acting to beat the morning rise I usually get. Stayed...

Ovulating/Fertile days and Impact on BG

Hello, Just wondering whether any of you (ladies) - have raised BG levels during your most fertile days/ovulation? I have PCOS and don’t always ovulate with every cycle. Ovulation sticks are useless for me (even months I have ovulated in the past they have not detected it). I am having...

Evening all, Lots of posts to catch up on. Hope you are all well [emoji173]️ Update on my work situation- turns out that two other colleagues had spoken to the head too about the same concerns. Productive day (work-wise). Lovely straight line on the Libre- just needs to be lower. So many small corrections given today. After Fridays hypo I resisted rage bolusing. Going to change my insulin cartridge (although its fairly newish). Not eaten many carbs but probably doesn’t helped that...

I’ve always split my basal dose. I am on Levemir and I am using the NovoPen Echo.It has a handy little feature which tells you how many hours ago you injected and the dose you have given. I don’t know anything about Tresiba- but taken Lantus before Levemir.

@kev-w ah thats a relief. Not nice that your high but makes it easier to deal with when you know why! I am just in single figures now and starving... sticking to low carb to avoid any more sudden spikes. @Robinredbreast- *hugs* Hopefully it will get easier. Deep breaths, and focusing on other...
