    Ace Inhibitiors

I've been on Candesartan for a few years now. I've never had any hypos due to this medication.

    **** T1

I gather it's out of season at the moment. More likely to get it in the autumn and winter months, but the only supermarket I have found it in is Waitrose. It's my particular favourite as it doesn't go mushy which some cauliflower and broccoli rice can.

Cauliflower rice, broccoli rice and celeriac rice are much tastier than normal rice. I couldn't go back to that bloated feeling after eating rice.

So I Got Sent On A Carb Counting Course

I did the course four years ago after 47 years as a diabetic. I'm so pleased I did as I really learned so much even after so many years experience of diabetes. I would recommend it to all Type 1s. It's quite refreshing to have so many Type 1 diabetics in one room, all giving their opinions.

    The SCREAM thread

Not keen on cyclists myself but maybe the side of the road where the cycle lanes are, are full of potholes. We have more potholes than roads here.

    What's Your Opinion On This...

I can understand them possibly wanting to change the bathroom at some time but I personally have more of a problem with a used toilet rather than a bath.

    Auto-injectors For Injections

Did you ever try one of these? It was just as bad as the Palmer.

    Frozen Shoulder

I found physio to be the answer. I saw a chiropractor for a couple of months which helped as did the exercises, but as he told me, frozen shoulders tend to ease off on their own. So when I had my other frozen shoulder, I just did the exercises occasionally, but it started to ease up anyway...

    Frozen Shoulder

I, too, have had both my shoulders frozen and my physio told me that about 90% of his patients with frozen shoulders were diabetic. I guess there must be some kind of link. Similar with carpel tunnel syndrome.

    Libre Sensor

I'd have most likely eaten all of what's in your image (with adequate insulin taken). My OH would have had to get his own!

    Novo Nordisk Pens

Thank you for your reply and I hope your son is doing ok. I already use the Novo Echo pen for my Novorapid, which is brilliant because of the digital display. What I was looking for was something similar to use for my Lantus but there isn't anything. The Juniorstar is manufactured by Sanofi...

But surely the Libre is useful too!

    Novo Nordisk Pens

Yes, but does it have a digital display? I think not, which is what I'm after.

    Novo Nordisk Pens

I actually think your idea is good and was thinking about doing just that. Great minds! Obviously, I also remember when we had to buy our own needles. In fact, my pharmacist at the time complained to the BMA about it because, as she told me, if I was a drug addict I would be getting them free.

    Novo Nordisk Pens

That does make sense but I guess I'm like you and don't change my needle every time (old habits die hard when you remember the time when you had to keep re-using them over and over, and needed to boil them about once a week to sterilise them).

    Novo Nordisk Pens

Thank you for your offer but the half units aren't what I need. It was the digital time reminder that interested me but I'm sure in time someone will make one before my memory goes completely. Maybe I should write that I've already had my Lantus injection on the bathroom mirror in lipstick so...

    Novo Nordisk Pens

As you suggested, I have started a thread about the Timesulin and was pleased with the replies. However, after going on the website to purchase one, it tells me they don't yet manufacture the gadget for certain pens, mine being one of them. Will wait until someone comes up with the goods.

    Today's Diabetic Clinic Experience

I'll need your magic wand cos after 52 years I still haven't learned how to not have a hypo.

    Timesulin

Does anyone on this forum have experience with the Timesulin gadget as I'm considering purchasing one for my basal injecting Clikstar. I have seen various reviews so far which haven't convinced me yet into purchasing one for my Lantus injection.
