High blood sugar when fasting without eating anything

Too me it sounds like glucose dumping + insulin resistance + Dawn Phenomenon.

    Low Testosterone

I got my results back and the nmol/L was 15 so even though it's lower end it's still in the range of average. I'm thinking that the symptoms have to do with improper electrolytes consumption and I think i've been doing the keto diet wrong. Just when I think I have it figured out I realize I...

    Low Testosterone

How come more strict over there? I get the vibe from my nurse that I wont have any problems. They seem more than open to helping and prescribing something to help.

    Low Testosterone

Your description is accurately identical to my personal experience. I had gone up in weight after getting type 1 diabetes to 247lbs and in 9 months I've gotten down to 190lbs. One huge thing by reading your post made me just realize is pre diabetes I had quite a bit of muscle mass and was around...

    Low Testosterone

Interesting. So you noticed this developed AFTER you improved your health? Has the low testosterone limited your sex life, even with the Viagra?

How do you afford a ketogenic diet?

Hey all I have been following the ketogenic diet for roughly 3 months alongside intermittent fasting most days (eat 12-1pm and 7-8pm) and seen fairly good success but I feel like it could be better. With that said the only organic food I consume is spinach. Other then that the prices of...

    Potassium & Insulin Resistance

I'm the same I haven't heard of any links but for a ketogenic diet potassium citrate is the recommended kind. Your insulin resistance may very well be improved by fasting. Check out Jason Fung as he's pretty much the modern day revolutionary for fasting in type 2 diabetes with insulin resistance.

    Low Testosterone

Are there any people mid 20's-30's who have been diagnosed with low testosterone and what they've done about it? I'm waiting on blood tests but I have had progressive symptoms starting as of 2 years ago to date. I'm extremely healthy with eating a ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting, weights...

    I can't even work a bicycle pump...

Yes this works well for me in the 3.2-3.8 range and I manage to return my blood glucose to 4.0 mmol/L + within 15-25 minutes this way.

    Gastroparesis And Sugar Level Control

In my opinion fasting is powerful tool to regaining control of in range blood glucose. Gastroparesis is typically a digestive issue as a symptom of uncontrolled blood sugars. Dr Jason Fung can be a good resource for fasting which you can learn and discuss with your own doctor.

    Stress at blood sugar numbers

Actually, there might be some reasoning as to why this is happening that I'm curious could be the culprit. So, do you typically run high blood sugars? Anything over 9.0 mmol/L frequently. The reason I'm asking is because if you are not in range constantly this causes digestive issues as I'm...

    I can't even work a bicycle pump...

My favourite thing about the pump is basal insulin control. I have successfully managed to stop low blood sugars and restore blood glucose to optimal range by temp basal off when a low occurs without having to take any external glucose.

What Is Your Highest Blood Sugar Peak Today

Rule of thumb is that more insulin only makes the problem of being insulin resistant worse. When you are insulin resistant what happens in your body is the fat cells have no more room to store any of the energy so the remaining energy is pushed into your blood stream raising blood sugars with...

    Breakfast

Dang that's horrible [emoji853]does it happen to you regardless? Before or after meals and or if you do fasted HIIT? I have a type 1 Aussie on instagram I follow who says he solved his spike in glucose by doing a slow warm up followed by his HIIT; maybe that could work for you?

    Stress at blood sugar numbers

I've learned a saying from some type 1's I follow on instagram who have steady numbers almost always and when they have a number they don't like are equipped to change that within a 1-2 hour window. The saying is: There is always a reason why your blood sugar is what it is. Meaning either you...
