    Little update

I agree, if my physical health and these energy crashes would stop I know I'd feel so much better mentally and I could get out and work on the agoraphobia again as that's only been caused by the severe fatigue and weakness and the fear it causes me. Thank you Julie

I am considering doing lower carb, around 150g a day and upping my protein and healthy fats. I have had high cholesterol so i worry about doing high fat, low carb but I have heard it's fine even with higher cholesterol. It may be worth a try and I'd like to lose a few pounds lol!

Thanks James for replying. The glucose wasn't fasted, it was a random glucose taken at 2.30pm. I'd eaten 2 meals and 2 snacks just before it. My gp funnily enough doesn't want to re test the random glucose but just monitor the hba1c every 3 months. Thanks Julie

    Little update

Hello. Thank you all for your kindness when I posted last month about my GP wanting to repeat my HBA1C. My random glucose in November was 8.9, The same day he also tested the HBA1C which was 35. He told me at the time of the results he wasn't concerned. He just did a full MOT to rule things...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Thank you Carol. At the moment battling agoraphobia I can't even get to a hospital appointment so endo isn't really an option. If my GP suggests it then I guess I will have no choice but for now I will have to stay in his care. Thank you.

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Thank you That is exactly how I feel. I have had nowhere to turn and coped the last 4 years with just my hubby and kids. He works full tme so the last year being so ill myself has been hard and I think I am now depressed. I have no mother to turn to, I have no direction in which to turn which...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Thank you Maggie I just wonder whether depression can cause such awful fatigue and body weakness, is that what you have experienced? I do have chronic fatigue but my GP won't diagnose it and can't with my bloods showing I have a thyroid condition. I think I do have CFS on top but it's not...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Thank you Carol. Is it because my FT4 or FT3 is low? I use Health Unlocked, they're a great bunch on Thyroid UK. Thank you.

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Thank you. I have posted my results above to Carol if interested. I increased to 75mg 3 days ago as my TSH had come down to 2.6 but then rose to 5.7 so my GP increased my dose.

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

To be honest Maggie I am wondering if you're right. I think I am very depressed at the moment, the last year has turned my world upside down. Well the last 4 years haven't been easy since my grandmother passed in 2012 and my brother attacked me 3 months later and I lost my mother and sisters...

Hi Carol These are my thyroid results from the past 18 months. Sorry if it's long winded lol! I started on 75mg of levothyroxine 3 days ago. I started 25mg in May last year and 50mg as of September last year. Now up to 75. August 2015 TSH 5.35 (0.35-5.5) FT4 10.2 (7-17) Ferritin 15 (started...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

My TSH was 9.28 last May, it had climbed from 6 in the January and by May at 9.28 and FT4 around 15 (range 12-22) my GP trialed 25mg of levothyroxine. I stayed at that and in July the TSH had come down to 6 ish and my FT4 was around 16. GP was happy. He suggested an increase but I was afraid at...

I have increased to 75mg this weekend, I expect to need nearer 100mg or more until I feel well. That's why I am confused my GP wants to do even more tests.

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

No need to apologise, thank you for your help I apprecaite it. I think being ill with the chronic fatigue and weakness it's triggered my anxiety even worse. I now can't see I will ever get back to where i was. I overcame my anxiety and agoraphobia after my brother attacked me, then i became ill...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

Hi Kelly The 50mg of thyroxine got my TSH down to 2 but now it's crept back up to 6 and 2 above range. I feel so fatigued and weak again. I am sure my GP seems to think you can't be so chronically fatigued because of it. Yes, I have had vitamins tested often. B12 was low end of normal in 2015...

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

I take a good multivitamin, B complex, B12, vitamin C and D3. Vitamins are vital with thyroid conditions as you can easily run low, especially in iron and b12.

Gp worried about random sugar test, now I am worried.

I am so sior I am so sorry, chronic fatigue is awful> I have it daily, no energy, sheer exhaustion and I have 3 children. My husband works long hours and can't take time off. Last year I was so ill with the fatigue I was bed ridden before I was started on thyroxine. I had no support at all and...
