Thanks for the advice! I never thought of doing cardio after the workout but I think that may work really well for me as cardio sends me down strait away. I’ll give it a go tonight :)

    HIIT workouts

Hi all, I get married next year so I have started a fitness regime. I am doing HIIT workouts 4-5 times a week which I LOVE. I am having some problems with managing the diabetes with it though... During the class I often start at 5 or 6 but after 30 minutes I am 12 - 14. I then come home and...

    Terrible dry hands

I think she may have used a discount code then? Body shop always have them - normally just google body shop discount code and they will come up. Just show the code on your phone if you buy in store or enter code online. I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for something in the body shop lol!

    Terrible dry hands

I think the medication you mention is what my mum had on prescription - but she found the bodyshop hand protector to work better - perhaps give it a go :)

    When to inject humalog?

hiya! I use humalog as my quick acting. for me, it depends on the time of day as to how much I pre-bolus. I have managed to do this based on the libre monitor. for breakfast I usually inject 40 minutes before (i suffer from dawn phenomenon so it takes a long time to kick in). For lunch I...

    Terrible dry hands

Hello, I personally don’t suffer with dry hands, but my mum does and she is T2. They think it may be related to her diabetes (but then again they think any ailment she has is related to it!). she found the only thing which stops the peeling and dryness is the Body Shops hemp hand protector...

    Sudden change in blood glucose

So this is an example of my daily levels at the moment... I’ve had approximately 10 units of humalog insulin to correct this (over the past few hours) and it seems as soon as it starts to go down.... it then goes back up :banghead:. I’m wondering if there is a problem with my box of humalog...

How and why to move from primary to secondary care?

I’ve recently moved areas - so I’m not sure what will happen now... but in my old area I was under care of a separate diabetes service (which I preferred as I saw a consultant every 3/4 months. I was referred there immediately due to the go suspecting I was T1. Prior to leaving the area my...

    Sudden change in blood glucose

It could well be.... although my last doctor said they wouldn’t test my c peptide again for a year and the last one was low. So I’m not sure how I would know? I’m currently at 6 and feel so horrendously sick after being high for the past few days!

    Sudden change in blood glucose

Hi, yes I thought my insulin could be off. I switched pens of both my Levemir and Humalog and it’s made no difference. I have been trying to correct but it seems that nothing is bringing it down for NO reason... I’m going to register at the doctors tomorrow and try to get to see someone ASAP!

    Sudden change in blood glucose

Hello all! I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this at all? I’m sure you can see from my previous posts I am diabetic - unknown type - but treated as T1 due to my age, weight and c peptide results. I am on Levemir (evening and morning) and humalog for my meals. Both of these...

Please create a MODY discussion thread

Hiya, I can’t help too much as I am not MODY. But I just wanted to let you know I was tested for it and it was negative. I was told it could be likely as I come from a long line of diabetics (my maternal nan was T2 in her older years, my mum is T2 from 40 and never over weight, my sister...

I have used these before and they are really nice. I have tried the chocolate, vanilla and salted caramel! I normally mix into plain yoghurt and it’s really tasty! I want to try the white chocolate one and raspberry one :)
