No I go high 5hrs after taking it at night, if I add 1 extra unit on a night then I drop massively within 30mins. During the day there isn't an issue, my basal and bolus on a morning settle it down and rarely see 10.

I am the other way, dose up with insulatard and sit stable until 3am , then without fail I go from 6 to 16 by time I wake up at 6am. If I increase basal by 1u I will drop within 30mins to 4, so the balancing act for me is a bloody nightmare

Get a libre2, then only prick when required or you will get used to pricking upto 10 times a day.

T1 for 31yrs, been on libre for 2yrs and hba1c has risen from 42 to currently 63. Could be that I am insulin resilient or could be the fact that finger pricks shows libre always 2 under where I am actually at. Way better control without a libre

I inject where and when I want, they have a problem then don't look. Quite simple
