    Confused

Granola is oats and nuts and sugar free. My DN has told me to have 250g of carbs a day but I only have 100-150g a day. I'm taking my bloods 7 x a day so before meals and two hrs after so not taking them randomly. I can't find a high fat yogurt that doesn't contain less than 5g sugar per 100...

I really don't understand my sugar levels. I've now been testing 7 times a day for 10 days and eating low carb and pretty much have the same for breakfast every morning ( sugar free Granola ) and a milky coffee. The levels on waking have mainly been in the 6's and 2 hrs after breakfast higher...

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate your support. I've basically gone from eating a lot of sugar and sugary drinks to zero sugar in drinks and only having foods that contain less than 5 grams of sugar per 100g. I've managed to loose 1 stone 4lb in 5 weeks from diet alone as exercise is...

Morning all, I'm only 6 weeks in to having T2 and you have helped me so much already. I have another question about my bloods and wondered if anyone can help? I've been recording my sugars before meals and 2 hours after but don't understand that the reading after dinner last night was 5.9...

    Hello And Advice

I also thought oats were ok as they are slow release carb...should we not be having oats? Also, you say to have high fat yogurt but I can't find any that are under 5 grams of sugar per 100g so I've gone with danone low fat and no added sugar. Is there a certain brand of yoghurt you recommend?

Thank you Freema, I'm pleased with the way I'm managing atm but I just don't know if I'm going to be able to keep this up for the rest of my days. I'm still craving sugars and what I call tasty foods and to go below 100 grams of carbs a day is very low. I have about 50 grams for breakfast (...

That's great to know and there is only one reading over the past 3 days of taking bloods that it's gone up to 1.5 after 2 hours of eating. Pretty pleased with that. Thank you for the links and advice Resurgum : I think I've lost weight because I've literally gone from eating so much sweet...

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with Type 2 about 5 weeks ago and my BS was 15 and 107 for the 3 month average. The Doctors have put me on metformin and have already doubled my dose to the maximum. It's making me feel quite nauseating and have an upset tummy in the mornings. I saw the nurse this...
