What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 this morning. Ran 5k, fastest 1k time, still with a dodgy knee, which is probably muscular and not necessarily joint now. 5.4 in middle of afternoon after lunch and pre a late shift, I’ll take that as a reasonable result.

5.8 today, been running, left leg still not quite working properly, but it will do. Big son got his results yesterday a 2:1 in his Masters in Physics, so he's a happy chap and so am I.

Thanks, I’ve got two CGMs waiting for deployment at the right time , I plan on using one just before dropping the Metformin tablets and one shortly afterwards to compare results . Also just found 10 home HBA1C kits for £12.90 each on Amazon, so that’s me set for the next 12 months.

A1CNow kit said 34 yesterday , which I am going to take as a 39 based on the previous mismatch, either way still good.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.6 at 0430, off to Lincoln for a few days with work, so up early. Walking a fair bit each day, knee still not happy running regularly, frustrating but may just have to rest it completely for a few weeks if no improvement soon.

7.0 this morning, back to strict discipline for a few weeks to ring back down to sensible levels for me. Tried a gentle run, knee disagreed, knee won the argument.

I signed up for the Vitality Virtual 10K which is being run from 29 may to 4 June, with the official start time of 10am on 31st May. Hurt my knee running two weeks ago , so couldn’t really run until earlier this week and didn’t know if I’d be able to complete the 10k today. Managed 59:08 which...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.0 this morning, I’ve been called into work for an early shift due to one of the other guys having two sick kiddies and getting no sleep overnight. I wasn’t sure I’d get my planned 10k run in, due the recent hurty knee, but I did it at 0500 and managed a PB of 59:08, first time under an hour...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

76kg today, I’ve been nursing a poorly left knee that prevented running for a week and what I can do at the moment is being done slowly so quite happy to be in the 75kg region still.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.9 this morning, perhaps not unexpected as I’ve been eating fairly normally while big son is with us this week. Back to disciplined eating as of Sunday ! Knee survived a 4.5k yesterday, albeit much slower than usual. I am missing the exercise I usually do each week while it’s not happy, but...

5.7 this morning. Late and short run yesterday as still nursing the knee, but it was really good as it’s the first time my big son and I have ever run together, he’s down for a few days having finished uni yesterday.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.8 this morning at 0745. Had a non diabetic friendly burger in Cambridge yesterday , went to bed on an 8.7 , but that was probably just eating late when we got home. If anyone is interested in computers , we visited the centre for computing history in Cambridge and it was a great day out for...

5.4 at 0410. Went for a very gentle run at 0615 to see if the knee could take it. It’s a bit sore but nowhere near as bad as last week. I am hopeful I can carry on albeit at a reduced pace this week.
