Hi, How does the trial work? Do you get the machine or software, or whatever it is, free on loan for the trial and purchase the sensors @£49.00 each? Cheers. Nick

    Can You Ignore This...I Couldn't

What do you count as a vegetable oil? I subscribe to the personal fat threshold theory that Roy Taylor(I think), has written about. That seems to work for most cases whether they are in a first, second, or third world country. I should add I’m only a year into my journey so I really don’t know...

    Newbie on Metformin modified release

I totally agree. I don’t have diabetes in my family at all. I think my fat threshold was pretty low And my lifestyle didn’t help. I didn’t realise my diet was so bad until I looked back at what I used to eat. Enjoy your Yorkers.

    Newbie on Metformin modified release

The most interesting research I have read recently is the “personal fat threshold” theory. Probably not that new any more, but it was new to me. This says that everyone has a point where they can no longer store fat subcutaneously ans at that point fat beings to be stored in the organs, most...

A couple of food based questions.

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well. Following my diagnosis just under a year ago, I have changed my diet to a much healthier one. I am not specifically aiming at low carb, but cutting out the rice, pasta, potatos, etc has meant a much reduced carb load. I have gradually...

    Two Questions.

Morning All, I’m seeing lots of adverts for bamboo socks that help with neuropathy. My initial reaction is that they won,t, but has anyone tried them or anything like them? My second Q is regarding CGM’s. I’d like to try one for about a week to see how various things, food, exercise, stress...

Type 2 Completly confused, low card?, plant based?, limit fruit?, eat lots if fruit?

Hi, I am fairly new to this lark as well. I’ve been sifting through the diet minefield. The other respondents have far more experience than me, but I have found a few Podcasts that have helped me massively. If you have the time and inclination have a listen to any or all of these. They are...

Type 2 Keto, Ketones and Ketosis.

Hi, I have read so much since being diagnosed I think I am finally getting to grips with things. I'm struggling however to find out about ketones regarding diet and diabetes. On the one hand I've read that ketones in the blood is a bad thing, ( and I beleive how they determine that you are T1 or...
