Sounds interesting! I did Cambridge a while back and lost 30lbs but had some emotional eating issues and ended up back where I started. I'm tempted to give this another go.

I'd like that! I use new posts all the time and to be able to go from a thread to new posts without having to go back to the index would be good. Its no biggy but if it can be done would be fab.

I'm waiting for my first lot of results and was told if it was over 10 then I'd be on tablets. Sounds like they all have their own guidelines!

I'm newly diagnosed so didn't think I'd be of much use to be a mod of a certain forum yet, but I am experienced in moderating and running a website and just generally chatting :lol:

I read that Metformin can affect the stomach. I have a hiatus hernia, although I don't get any symptoms, and wondered if this was going to affect either my stomach or taking the metformin?

Yes thanks Anna! I sat with my feet in my foot spa last night which was lovely. Has a bubble and a vibrating setting, then put two lots of socks on :lol: Did some reading and it all sounds pretty scary...will be ringing the nurse today. Thanks Annie :D

I seem to have an almost constant dull ache in my toes and the first half of my feet and they are soooo cold. Do I need this checking or is it just 'normal'?

Thanks Ebony! I spoke to my dr who said the receptionists had got it wrong and they'd made a review appt :roll: I@m now seeing the nurse on tuesday :D

When I had my last baby I had GD and I had an normal vaginal birth. I was put on a sliding scale of insulin, can't remember if I had my bloods checked but that was all. Baby had to monitored afterwards for her blood sugars and once she'd had 3 normal readings we were allowed home. :D

Thanks Daisy what a great lot of info! I'm waiting to speak to the dr again to see what I need to do in the meantime. I've been feeling so so tired that some days I cant function - I have 3 young kids so my life is awful and I don't really want to wait till 7th July for my nurse appt.

I posted here back in 2009 when I was told I had Impaired Glucose Tolerance...well I've just been told I am now diabetic. My levels were 12.5. Don't have my meeting with the diabetic nurse till 7th July :(
