Feeling really down about it all

Glad your feeling better about it all, its a lot to take in and I'm still getting my head around it too. Haha you were replying to one of my posts, it's a great place isn't it to share because we can all relate, plus I've learnt so much...things my consultant or nurse haven't told me, but I...

    Same Reading?

It was the first time since being diagnosed having the same reading 3 times on the day and wondered if it happened to anyone else. Wasn't sure what you meant by doing all those consecutive tests, I test 4 times a day at same times as instructed since starting insulin 2mths ago.

    Same Reading?

Had the same fasting reading 3 times out of the 4 times I tested today! On last occasion thought the machine battery must be low, so tested on my husband but his reading was different, so machine wasn't faulty. This is a first for me, reading wasn't bad 5.9, just wondered if happened to anyone...

    Newly diagnosed and hypos...

Thanks urbanracer, yeah I had no symptoms, so didn't know this would be classed as hypo. I get below 5 at least once 1 out of my 4 readings for the day, thought this was consider okay between 4-7. Feel the balance of my insulin is good now, perhaps I need to eat a little more.

    Newly diagnosed and hypos...

Okay thanks...so it's about both having the hypo symptoms and/or having a reading below 4. When my consultant asked if I had a hypo, I answered no but I did in fact have. My understanding of hypos is limited and only from the fact my stepfather went seriously below and into a fatal coma. When...
