I'm recently diagnosed and started metformin at 500mg once a day for a week at breakfast increasing to twice a day in the second week and then three times a day in the third week. Daily Mail yesterday - praise for low carb

Very interesting article in the paper yesterday about non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Dr David Unwin strongly expounds the value of a low carb diet for those with this condition and his findings were supported by the British Liver Trust. No surprise then to this forum. I had a liver scan...

    Restless Legs!

Success isn't just lower BG and weight loss..

It's inspiring to read the successes each of you have had. I have had modest success three and a half weeks after T2 diagnosis - I've lost six lbs and, more importantly, I've stopped smoking. I'm quite chuffed with myself  onwards and upwards etc. X

    Hello from confused of Lancashire

I think I will have to reconsider what I thought I knew - eeek. Is it better to have more protein & natural fat and cut out carbs altogether? I think I am suffering with information overload! I'm going to bed now to sleep on it maybe it'll be clearer tomorrow :)
