You will get rid of those high blood sugars and get life back on track. Your high sugars were really high, I surprised it took so long.

    Diabetes and brain function

I'm eating a Cadbury's Whispa chunk as I Definitely testing my BG. I get 2 checks a year and that is it. The 56 is with me working hard, I had a A1C of 120 when I was diagnosed. I am not going back to my NHS clinic apart from the A1c test, and to remind myself don't get any worse or else...

Carbohydrate Counting... Is it Effective or Necessary?

Quinoa. This is the stuff. Like a kind of bird seed. I did like it, I was expecting it to be gritty. Is it digested slowly to keep my BG from going into low earth orbit.

Carbohydrate Counting... Is it Effective or Necessary?

This sounds good. a) do they taste good, b) this all sounds a chemical experiment not food. if a) is yes, and b) it is a bit factory-ish but it is healthy, I want to know more, educate us !! A1c of 6.5 is OK, NHS things mine is great at 8.6% apparently. What is allulose and why should...

I just did a blood pressure. I am down to 140/90 after just a few days on ACE Inhibs. I would say I am excited by that but it would raise my pressure.

Tessts and more tests and even more tests

Dunno, he could have waited months for an appointment at his doctors. Type-2 Diabetes is also silent until you get a complication, then you have to wait your turn.

Tessts and more tests and even more tests

Get it sorted, or it will come back and bite you. I get the feeling sometimes I got ants running up my leg, biting and stinging. This is nerve damage done by sugars in my blood. The reason I am here is Monday-Friday 8 to 8, overtime Sat and Sun. Need the cash, bills to pay.

Carbohydrate Counting... Is it Effective or Necessary?

I am a type II, working in an office, not a doctor, and no expert, but this is what "works" for me. I was A1C of 120 last year, I am down to a sort of alright 56 now. It's a bit pants, but I will get there. Type II is by definition: a real damned nuisance, party-pooper, etc etc. Counting the...

    Mounjaro question

I would love an A1c of 45. Mine was 120, but apparently 56-60 is perfectly fine for me (I disagree)

    Mounjaro question

Hi Maggie, I can confirm they are not ! They are prescribing duff reasoning and advice (hence my A1c of 60 is described as perfect) and told that using blood glucometer when I feel iffy, or if I suspect a food is sending my BG skywards, was just causing me anxiety and I should stop. I am after...

    Blood sugar staying high

Hi, My HBA1c was 120 and now I am back to 56 with Metformin and a bit of careful food choices. What you need to remember is that the way forward is for you to become expert in your diabetes, and to own it. Don't be afraid to challenge the HCP.

    Diabetes and brain function

Why do NHS let these people loose on us? Do they think we completely ignore a condition that makes you feel dizzy, sweaty, thirsty, itchy, cranky (as well as just generally rough) ? So today was a diabetes check up (last one was in August). The diabetes nurse was on top form "what you need...

Rybelsus or Mounjaro - advice please

Results from Catlady19 very encouraging, but six months is a long time, and how deranged was your BG at the outset ? I am pretty fat, some might say morbidly obese. But I am one of those people who can happy eat nothing all day, or drink a diet cup-a-soup, or a diet milkshake. The other day...
