    Good HbA1c Results

I've been doing LCHF for a few months and introduced intermittent fasting 3 months ago. HbA1c has gone from 52 to 46 and now 35. I'm so happy! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

I can recommend The Obesity Code by Dr Jason Fung. I have managed to lose about 10kg recently by low carb and intermittent fasting following the advice in this book.

    Pre diabetes & gallbladder

I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. I find that I can tolerate most fats now. I still tend to trim fat off meat after cooking. I'm fine with olive oil, avocado and cheese.

I'm...

Low carb diet - seems to be working

HbA1c down from 52 in September to 46 now. I've been following the 10 week program. It can be hard to stick to it at times but I think it's making a difference. I find self testing my blood glucose levels keeps me motivated. Going to try not to undo all the progress over the festive season!

Effect of medication for high blood pressure on glucose levels

I've recently started testing my blood glucose levels at home and I find they can be high first thing in the morning. I take bendrofluazide and valsartan on waking (between 6 and 6.30am) also lanzoprazole then check my blood glucose before breakfast (about 7am). Could the medication be pushing...
