    Eeeeek so excited!

So, I got a BFP on Tuesday and couldn't be any happier albeit very very scared! I went to see my doc on Wednesday who has referred me to the high risk clinic and diabetes specialists but was just wondering how long it took for someone to get in contact with all you other mummy's/mummy's to be...

    Rapid insulin resistance in legs

Thanks for your reply. I think you are right in that I might need longer needles for my legs as I'm still only on 4mm - I have got some 6mm so will give them a go and see. Yesterday for example, I injected the correct dose before I ate my lunch at 12 and then at 4.30 before I was due to leave...

    Rapid insulin resistance in legs

I never really do many injections in my legs but when I do, I'm really resistant to insulin. This only seems to be novo rapid though, my levimir is fine... Is there anything I can do to change this as I'm conscious that I need to keep rotating sites! Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

    Diabetes and pregnant, advice wanted!

Congratulations!! I am currently trying to conceive and doing lots of research into pregnancy whilst diabetic. I came across this lady's YouTube channel about having diabetes and being pregnant! Not sure if it will help you but she does a new video each week outlining pregnancy related issues...

    Highs in the morning

Ahhh that could very much be the case as I always go to bed within range (on the lower scale early 4's) and last night was 3.1, dealt with the hypo and woke up as 9.7!! My BGL are pretty much perfect throughout the day but I do tend to have quite a few hypos during the night! How do I rectify...

    Highs in the morning

Just a quick question... My readings have been a steady 6 in the morning for the past couple of months however for the past week or so, they've been between 9-10! Should I wait and see if it evens out again or start upping my basal by a couple of units until it comes down? I'm trying to...

    Trying to conceive

I was in the exact same position 4 months ago! My hba1c was 10.4 and my nurse said unless I did something about it, a pregnancy just wouldn't be feasible. That was all the motivation I needed and 12 weeks later, my hba1c was 6.9! I test as many times a day as I possibly can and really keep an...

    Trying for a baby...

It's great to hear from other people that have gone through it and is really reassuring! Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and all my hard work has paid off :)

    Trying for a baby...

Thanks for the reply!! I guess it is the same thing for all diabetics being worried when looking to start trying for a baby so it will be good to have a read through the other posts. I've been on 5mg folic acid for a few weeks and if I'm correct, I have to take it every day until I'm 12 weeks...

    Trying for a baby...

I was diagnosed with type 1 in 2014 aged 21. Albeit a hard adjustment, my younger sister had been diagnosed 6 years prior so I knew what to expect. Anyway, fast forward 2 years and I was in a real loop of not controlling my bloods as it was great I wasn't putting any weight back on. I got...
