    well done on finishing it looks like your bloods sugars stayed pretty good through out i have the same problem of high blood sugar before events i think it must be to do with stress or something id like to do a marathon at some point but i dont think there are many left this year

    I regularly do long distance cycles through the Peak District sometimes over 100 miles I find I need very little insulin and I have to be careful the next day for hypo’s and during the night

    iv never ran further than half a marathon but iv done a few 100 mile plus cycles 130 being the longest i find i need very little insulin during its so easy to go to low also i think being diabetic increases the risk of dehydration i could be wrong there. running 100 miles would be very impressive

    if im pushing really hard on the exercise bike or something theres normally a pool of sweat on the ground when iv finished. just have to watch out for dehydration

    the vegan diet does seem popular with cyclists and endurance athletes who need allot of carbs to perform well it would have to be done right though be to much hassle for me and i like alcohol to much. apparently its not a diet or so they say anyway.

    i did a steady half marathon this afternoon was running a little bit low throughout i had a couple of gels but the blood was 3.8 when i got home i think mybe gave myself a little bit to much insulin before lunch

    I just take one dose of levemir which i assume is similer to lantus at about 8pm and it keeps the blood suger pretty stable for most of the day from what your saying about your blood reading there doesent seem anything wrong with them im no expert but i wouldn't consider anything under 10 high

    i seem to have developed a really bad chilblain on the side of my foot this year or atvleast thats what i think it is it could also be a strain or something from running but it really hurts iv got a months supply of tablets from the doctor to help with them
