Is there any Type 1 who on libre 3?

Yes i partly switched to Libre 3 as well, although still hard to get them where I live.. - smaller sensor makes FS3 less annoying to wear. I even wear it on my arm again, while with FS 2 i switched to legs regularly as it was just annoying on my arm, running it off, getting stuck on doors etc...

    Insulin having little effect

Hey! Thats very frustrating. I also had times when insulin didnt ‘seem to work’. Stay careful though not to overdose! Id do the following: - check if your insulin didnt become too hot or frozen. If that could be the case, take a new pen or penfill. - if youre not feeling too bad, go for a walk...

Freestyle Libre 3 on android watch?

have been using the libre 3 for some days now. For fellow new users, please beware that: - glucose alarms are turned off by default. Once you have installed the app and placed a sensor, you have to activate the alarms in the in app settings (its easily done but just beware that you have to do...

I want to have my level below 10/9 before i start. Then if i run low, towards the end of workout sometimes, I use AA Drink. It is so sweet that it immediately raises your sugar even if you have just a bit. Then afger the workout i eat something properly (egg with bread or a protein shake). Go...

Freestyle Libre 3 on android watch?

Thanks David, it has to be noticed the FL3 ís already licensed in the Netherlands, and the Android app is available. So it would be interesting to check the exact wording of the exemption. Probably Abbott knows what they are doing legally, but still I dont see any real justified reason for this...

Freestyle Libre 3 on android watch?

I could try, but I think Apple has quite strict criteria for region settings. Im not even convinced that if I now drive to Germany, whcih I could do easily, would allow me to download the German app, as long as the region settings of my Apple account are registered in another country. On the...

Freestyle Libre 3 on android watch?

Its also really ignorant of Abbot that they have the sensors running on bluetooth technology but that they refuse to make a simple app for smartwatches in order to get readings. And that they even geo-block existing and working smartphone-apps for some countries. Im not sure geo blocking is even...

Freestyle Libre 3 on android watch?

I just checked the compatible devices on the Libre 3 website. It says the Galaxy watch 4 is compatible with libre 3, but not as a stand alone device, so you also need an android phone in order to get the watch working. Thats a pity. I’ll call abbott maybe to see when they plan to unblock the...

Dear fellow members, I finally managed to order some freestyle libre 3 sensors, living in the Netherlands were for some strange reason it is not for public sale yet, but only on prescription. Booster side effects

Yesterday I got my ‘booster’ covid shot from pfizer. Experienced some light discomfort in the evening at the same day. Nothing special. But also my bg values were going low in the evening, night and this morning i could even skip a shot of insulin. Anyone experienced low bgs after the booster...

FLibre Iphone not scanning very well

Did some research and found many iphone users having the same problem, as it seems due to the nfc chip breaking down: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252721492?login=true Called Apple and they did a diagnose of my phone, but they couldnt detect a defect with the nfc antenna. Now they...

FLibre Iphone not scanning very well

Alarms still working and i notice the % of time withinrange gets updates through bluetooth in my iphone app. But still no possibility to scan. Im startin to wonder if it might be due to an ios update or a problem woth my phone. I really have to try 3 times just to get an ‘error’ scan. Almost...

FLibre Iphone not scanning very well

Merry xmas to all! Lately my iphone SE 2020 has really not been too eager to scan my freestlye libre. Sometimes i have to try twice. Or even exit the app and then revisit it and try again until it finally makes a scan. I noticed it gets worse when iphone is in energy saving mode. Any others...

    Sudden insulin resistance?

Maybe to follow up, with a bit different case. Last saturday i was with a friend all day in quite close contact (car, dinner), and now it turns out he had covid. During the night after seeing this friend I needed exceptional amounts of insulin and didn’t manage to get my bgs down all night...

    Freestyle sensors placement

leg on the part where you could take your insulin works perfectly for me. When placing try to relax your leg (so dont fully stretch or bend your leg, but let it a bit loose so that theres a ‘buffer’) of course this isnt officially approved, but have been doing it for years.

COVID vaccine and extremely high blood sugars

I had the first Pfizer vaccination 8 days ago. First two days i was a bit tired and had some of the usual -not too heavy- side effects. After 5/6 dats i noticed my bg levels going higher, as already mentioned by others here. I now increased my longterm insulin Abasaglar from 20 to 24 units...
