    Morning Highs

Yeah I do another jab some times if I eat carbs before bed. That would be about 4 hours after tea. Im a weight trainer (wouldnt quite say bodybuilder as im not bothered about being below 10% bodyfat) so I try to eat every 3-4hours. Ile see how it goes lowering the carbs before bed therefore I...

    Morning Highs

What I think ile do is cut the carbs before bed therefore I do not need a novorapid jab. It seems to be fine before bed for example 5-8 then it drops and what im thinking is because im more sensitive to insulin at bed time than first thing in the morning its causing it to drop during the night

    Morning Highs

Thanks for all the replies/support. I do my lantus in my leg and my novorapid in my stomache. I will test tonight and see how it goes. For me im finding it hard to carb count. Morning dosage is fine as I eat the same thing for breakfast every day but through the day I become a lot more sensitive...

Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pump?

Re: Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pum I mean incase I come off and it gets taken out of me. I know you can take them off for showers etc. How long can you take them off for?

    Morning Highs

Yeah :) It gets quite hard as I do a lot of biking as well but I just don't know how much I will be doing prior to going out so sometimes I almost have to just wait for a hypo. I do often have a sugary drink before riding but sometimes I can be out 4-5hours riding. Anyway the main problem here...

Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pump?

Re: Would you prefer to be on insulin injections or on a pum I hear good things about a pump but I like the idea of a jab because you can do it then get on with life. I do a lot of mountain biking and weight training. If I fall of my bike with a pump in it could be nasty.

    Morning Highs

Ahh, testing through the night would be the next step. Before bed there usually 6-8. I did some work a few weeks back and my sugar levels were so much better as I was in a routine. I finished college last June and im currently stuck in a part time retail job. I find routine is the key but at the...

    Morning Highs

Hello. I keep suffering from morning high of around 12/13. I was on 48 units of Lantus but now its down to 30 as I kept having hypos 2-3hours after taking it and ive starting biking a lot more now so I brought it down 2 units every night. Ive done some research and it looks like I should be...

    Injection sites

Yeah I do this. You don't want to risk novorapid and lantus clashing/mixing together as one can cancel out the other.

    Ratio

Well im on 38 Lantus before bed (11-12pm). I was on 48 but kept having hypos during the night (with in a few hours of my Lantus jab) I always eat before bed so would it be worth putting my Lantus up to 40 and dropping the novarapid for the food before bed slightly? EDIT: I dropped the lantus 2...

    Ratio

Hello. Getting sick of my sugar being sky high at dinner time. Ive started carb counting and 1unit of insulin for 5g of carbs is not enough in the morning however if I go by this at night time I would have a hypo. I currently weight 19stone (bodybuilding of 5years but yes I do have fat too...
