    Blood sugar question

Hey guys, So I know we're supposed to be under 9 two hours after eating, but how long after the two hour check are we supposed to be back between 4 - 7? Thank you as always! Anna [emoji5]

New , can I snack healthily?

Hi! I'm 23 and was diagnosed a couple of months ago and I used to be a massive snacker! Not sure if someone has mentioned this already (there's a lot of replies) but I love Digestive thins. They're so good. They do milk and dark chocolate and they're only around 3/3.5g of carb per biscuit. I...

    Confused...

Thank you all for your replies. When I was first diagnosed I was so scared that I wasn't snacking or eating anything all that exciting to try and regulate things. I'm two months in now and I want a bit more freedom so just trying to figure out what that freedom means :)

    Confused...

Thank you so much! That's cleared a lot up for me. So the portion size is key really, is that right? What do you do about snacks? Chocolate, crisps etc?

    Confused...

One thing I've been confused about since being diagnosed - hypothetically, we can eat anything as long as we bolus for it. So really, are we free to eat whatever we like as long as we cover it with insulin? (Obviously within reason, not eating high sugar foods every day.) [emoji5]

    Pizza problems

Not great! Went very high and took a loooot of time to come down. Had 4 family birthdays this week so with party food and irregular meal times it's been tough [emoji16]

    Pizza problems

Hi everyone! I'm going out for a family dinner tonight that we had to pre-order for. I've gone with a Margherita pizza, that's about 12 inches. I'm just really struggling to work out when I should take my bolus. Based on averages (I can't know for sure the carb count of the pizza), it's...

    Bolusing & hypos

Would it be bad though if I continued on the dose I'm on and just not bolus? (Unless of course I needed to based on my BG)

    Bolusing & hypos

Hi! Thank you for your replies! I haven't heard of a basal check actually. I'll Google it now. I figured my dose must be too high if I wasn't needing to bolus as much.

    Bolusing & hypos

    Bolusing & hypos

Hi guys! I've been put on a basal/bolus regime of Lantus and Apidra. I take 20 units of Lantus a day. I've found that bolusing for all three meals had me running really low/going into hypo between meals, so instead I have started just bolusing for my evening meal. So far, my numbers are all...

Does anyone know of any good Diabetes groups in the UK? That meet up and have events and things like that? It would be nice to meet people in similar situations [emoji5]
