@Dogbutler The menopause is blamed for just about everything in women over about 40! Similarly we diabetics tend to blame diabetes for lots of unconnected problems...perhaps you have a gynaecological problem, eg irritable bladder or an early prolapse which can present with the symptoms you...

I also drink unsweetened almond milk but it doesn't taste the same as regular milk and doesn't really work in tea or coffee...it has to be cream in coffee ;)

@Seano Lactaid is an American product. I use Lactofree semi skimmed which as Noblehead said contains half the carbs.

Have you tried celeriac as a replacement for potatoes? It's very low carb, can be eaten as mash, makes a great topping for shepherds pie etc., can be chipped or roasted and it will certainly fill you up! I eat LCHF and don't get hungry at all, often only eating two meals a day with maybe a small...

@george895 ...Cook and freeze is what I do. It's easier and saves time and money....you'll then have meals in the freezer for those days when you CBA or are too busy to cook. ;)

The general idea put about seems to be that people doing Low Carb eat just meat, fish, eggs and cheese....as portrayed by that tv documentary about Lc v Hc.... so how about shopping for lots of fresh green vegetables and berries (maybe at a market stall) to add to the protein in your (wicker)...
