    Low, Lower?

Thank you popsy . It's the shades, they hide a multitude of sins;) Paula Jonas is an old acquaintance of mine under a slightly different name (and sex) and I expect nothing more than insults from him. However I'm surprised that he's still here.

    Hba1c too low

I'm type2 ID and was told exactly the same thing last week when my result came in at 6.4. Apparently any lower is not considered "safe". I asked what was meant by safe and was told 6.4 could indicate I was having frequent hypos and there was a strong possibility I might have one when driving...

How do you clean up the blob of blood left on the end of your finger?

Lick when I'm on my own, but try to remember to use a tissue in public, lol.

:) They have a reputation for being associated with witchcraft but I find them harmless. Even the ones who hide under stones ;)

"You're lucky though. If I have remembered correctly, you're in that part of Wales where they graze sheep on the salt marshes, theGower Salt Marshes?" :) :) Yes, indeed I am and in my previous house it was common be woken in the night by the sound of munching as the little darlings grazed the...

Dad's 75th need some advice on celebration Desserts

@Yorksman A nice treat though would be an expensive cut of meat, such as highland beef fillet steak. With mushrooms and/or some green pepper sauce and a really crisp green salad with a quality dressing, Yum! My mouth is watering! :p

So, I got this letter today......

No matter what any one says, you're going to worry so it's good that your appointment is just a couple of weeks away. No good thinking about possible outcomes because it'll make you feel worse. Keep working on keeping BG levels reasonable...try for a bit lower if you can. It'll help. Good luck...

Dad's 75th need some advice on celebration Desserts

One of my favourites is a sort of fruit terrine made with sugar free raspberry jelly and a mixture of lots of berries. As it's a special occasion you could substitute some of the water used in the jelly with red wine..about 100ml is plenty to give a festive flavour. Serve it with cream, double...

    Low, Lower?

Thank you :). I gave myself just one extra unit of basal this morning and levels have been a bit better. Will add another tomorrow. Hopefully weather will be better too, so we won't get too wet and muddy on our treks, lol Take care. Geri

    Too many meds?

I'm not saying "like" because of the meds you need to take, but because of your comment about the damage done to other organs. You are SO right! Best wishes Geri

fish chips peas and gravy and two buttered bread

@phoenix I thought it low too but I have eaten them and not had any problems. It is sometimes very difficult to find the correct values so I tend to test for myself. Nothing quite like proper fish n chips tho ;) :hilarious: @ you chickening out. Have to be honest and say I wouldn't expect...

@czj Lol, Larkins Toads....stuff your pension etc. I love his poetry :) @WhitbyJet Very bizarre, and yes, your stone is probably the best place for you....but do watch out for toads. (I love them and photograph them often but they have a habit of sometimes oozing toxins from their skin...
