I'm trying to come up with a list of tips and tricks for t1 diabetics. Came up with 7. Any ideas?

I've never come across bolusing 10-15 mins before eating - how does this help and is it suitable for someone using injections (on Novorapid)

Hi all, Usually my levels are pretty good before lunchtime after having breakfast and I'm never high in the morning. Over the past few days it's been around 9-10 at lunchtime and I don't really understand why. I tried to have an omelette and tested each hour but my levels raised to 13+ pretty...

    Question about insulin doses

@himtoo Yep they've remained stable - sometimes when I used to have omelettes I'd ate a piece of toast maybe that's what made it unstable, my bs isn't very good with bread

This is what happens to me - I give about 4 units, the same amount of units I give with granola. Yet with the omelette I'll be higher than I would have if I ate the granola! So weird..

    Question about insulin doses

@Spiker Its weird - I can take 4 units for granola and yoghurt, and 4 units for an omelette and when I check my blood sugar before I have lunch, its always more stable with the granola? I eat at 6:45 then have lunch at 12:45 - is the long gap a contributing factor? I'd just love to have...

    Question about insulin doses

@Spiker @Charles Robin Thank you both! I'm getting help in the next few weeks to deal with how I feel about my body image and hopefully then, I won't worry about my diet and insulin in take. I take between 20-23 units including both my Lantus and Novorapid and that feels like a lot to me! Is...
