    Usual insulin intake

    Hey! I'm on quite high doses but I am overweight and insulin resistant so am working on it! I take 24u levimer at night and 8u in morning. My ratio is 2u to 10g at breakfast, 1.5u to 10g at lunch and 1u to 10g at dinner. I eat around 150-200g carbs a day.

    Type 1 in northern Ireland here. I see podiatry once a year. They don't send reminders of the yearly appointment though so I'm guessing they are saving money that way and possibly hoping some might forget..

    So beans don't require insulin?

    That was me[emoji4] I was told at my DAFNE course that the beans won't affect the bg as they are slow release so no need to bolus. After trusting this advice I spiked sky high. At least I know for future.. [emoji4]

    Type 1s -What's your Diet/ Food?

    I've been doing better recently by eating around 150gm carbs and trying to only snack on low carb things ie cheese/nuts. It's helped me get better control
