Any illness with eating disorders like diabulimia are very difficult for NHS to treat you.
It is very difficult to get into any eating disorder clinic. Very difficult and very few clinics.
The trouble is with any ED Clinic that admits the person is that certain items are banned, and you do...
I researched it.
I got my peaks snd troughs from
my pump hourly basal rates and adjusted them for it jyst being novorapid with a peak time of 2.5 hours as an average. Then looked at how insulin profiles matched my needs..
Had tried everything consultants said. Adding in insulatard to the...
I tried everything from lantus, levemir and tresiba.
Now on tresiba at 4pm - just 1 unit.
Insulatard at 3.30 if need a correction too but 99% of time not needed.
Another insulatard and bolus at 8am
8.30 another 2 unit bolus (trialling this time rather than 9am as I was fed up of waiting an...
My pump stopped working for me due to my body after 5 brilliant years.
I went back to MDI. I love not having to wear it anymore to be honest. But my regime of insulin now is really difficult. I have 1 or 2 injections at 3.30am, another 2 at 8am and another at 8.30am just to get up, without...
Hello @ally1
So sorry you are battling demons again...
Did the psych mention about getting a permanent cpn for you or why you only had one visit?
I think seeing a bipolar when in a better frame of mind last year should have been followed up as its important for them to realise funtionality...
A psychologist can help you to change your thinking around diabetes and insulin, but bear in mind you must go in with open ears and willing to change.
I've had one to one therapy ref cancer and the likes but it has to be the person that actually wants to change and to find everything as joyful...
Sam
I dont believe it either, there are alot more things in this world than insulin that gives cancer.., otherwise one in 2 of population wouldnt be getting it.
You go on my thoughts of not going to the moon!!
Will use Dr Google on you later!! Best wishes Sam..

I did think about the water/sugary solution but aware that it depends upon the depth of someone being able to help themselves and that it waant given if unable to swallow...
Aaah, I was only thinking anout 0.9 and Lo reading for the glucogel to rub in gums.. thinking it is easier for it to be applied when someone is deeply drowsky.. not if anle to swallow... and not squirted down throat. Literally in an emergency and rubbing it in to gum only.
Sorry if that is ill...
I think its more important to see a consultant.
We paid privately 5 tears ago. I looked up all the gastroenterologists and studied their qualifications and specialities. I booked up and paid the then £160 fee (now about (235). Saw privately and he put me back thru NHS as urgent.. Had all tests...
Crikey, no one can be positive on what causes cancer... loads of environmental issues and nutitional etc....
Myself and another person I know got breast cancer after using a pump for a period of 5 years... could it have been pump novorapid constantly being fed in? Who knows? There is some...
Sorry, but I would be asking for a copy of my medical file to see when they have requested funding...
Funding requests should not take 4 months.
One thing you can do, if you dont, is ask for a copy of letters that are sent to GP to be sent to you after appointments.
Multi disciplenary team meeting.
You need all the consultants to agree a way forward.. not just one.. if it needs a referral to an endochronologist for advice on how to keep you bloods up and steady to finction then you have the right to ask for Mdt meeting and if refused, ask them directly.. "...
I was just thinking about bringing up after exercise and not down. If I go low at night jyst putting my feet to the floor will raise my levels..and exercise, just walking can as well...as that actually gets motility in me working better.
But with levels going that low you cannot afford to try...
0.9 and LO is dangerously low. I would be calling medics at these levels...
How long after these levels do they rise?
Can your feed be pushed through at different speeds?
0.9 is actually higher than LO.
Have they check your electrolytes?
How long has then been like this?
Yes, the libre can read low over night than you actually are, it would be good to have an acual blood test done. But if the 0.9 and LO is on a meter then your gastroenterologist should really...
It depends what your insulin regime is, your results and if you sre going on a dafne course, how many hypos you have, do you drive, have you been told about dvla requirenents, card for free scripts, getting enough test strips..
