    Atorvastatin

@JACKTHELAD I've never had an allergic reaction to anything, touch wood. But there is always that chance which is why I read all the side effects. I've been trying to eat lower carb. (30-40g) per meal. I can't go lower than that, wouldn't want to. But I'm.eating loads more cheese and eggs...

    Atorvastatin

Hi guys just been prescribed atrovastatin and have read the list of side effects, not sure I should have. One listed was a rise in blood sugar levels. I was just wondering if others were on this medication and experience a rise in their levels.

    Change in hypo awareness

Just had a hypo. Did not feel it till it was 3.8. Normally I would at 5-6. But been slowly getting BG's under control lately, my accu chek now says my average bg is 10.4. It was over 13 in November and. This is my fear. The better your control the less hypo awareness you have. So I'm not...

    Hba1c results

So in November I posted I'd started carb counting course and my Hba1c which was 97mmol. I was hoping to have got control enough of it all so I would be at at least 75mmol, it wasn't as good as that. It's 85, however there is a small improvement and considering there was an illness and...

    Basal insulin and winter

So its me again asking for more info from you all Do you find your basal requirements are reduced in winter. I've had low bloods(3-4) at 3in morning for 4 days on run and at first thought it was because I'd exercised at around 8pm. However that was only the 1st 3 nights last night no exercise...

Not enough education on type one DB

    Standard deviation

@smidge Yes I've been using the percentage of readings on target, which since November has been gradually increasing however now I look at the SD they are all around 3-4 which I see is probably not great and needs improvement @CarbRok That looks a little complicated for a Sunday evening...

    Standard deviation

Hi RRB, yes more clear now. If the average is 11 and deviation is, say 2. Most readings are around this if it's say 4 the results are more varied around the average. I'll need to read it over again before it completely sinks in. But the results make more sense now and I see I need to make a...

    Standard deviation

Hi all. I'm using the accu-check expert, and in trying to understand all features I'd like to know, what standard deviation is. I've googled it but am still a bit confused as to its meaning in relation to Bg results. Is it the variation of the results above or below the average. So if the...

    Type 2 to Type 1

I was Diagnosed type 2. Which continued for 18 months. Then rediagnosed type 1. I am inclined to believe it was a mis diagnosis, as I was on Metformin and lost a dramatic amount of weight over the 18 mths. Couldnt tell you how my Bg wad during the 18 mths as my gp never gave me test strips...

    School snacks
