    glucose strips

I have never had many issues getting the strips I use. I go through a box of 50 around once a week, might last me longer sometimes and less some other times. Hope you got it all sorted out @wiserkurtious

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

My latest result was 45 / 6.3% which has stayed the same as the last time it was done in February. Previous one before going on the pump was 46 / 6.4%, so just down a little.

Time off work for pump start

I took a week off at the start. My employer did advise I could call in sick and they would accept it but I just took it off as Annual Leave.

    2015/16 Football Season

Was a cracking game @hankjam I said to my Wife before the game that I thought it would be 2-2, but I certainly didn't think it would be with 10 minutes to go. Dundee should have taken their chances in the first half, as United were only going to get better. That boy Murray that you've got...

    First Abandoned Set

Thanks for your reply @Anaelena it really is good to heat that other people have also had this. Interestingly the cannula looked ok when I took it out, just took me ages as it was stinging so much. Every other set I've done since then has been fine.

    First Abandoned Set

Maybe I've been quite lucky then to not have one in my time on the pump. Just wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing. Like you @azure I have also had a few where they've been uncomfortable for a while but they've always got better, but not this one.

    First Abandoned Set

Yesterday I had my first abandoned set since I started my pump last November. When I inserted it yesterday morning it was very sore but I thought I would just leave it and see how I got on. All day at work it was stinging so byt the evening it had to be taken out. My BG was also not so well...

The Role of Dietary Protein and Fat in Glycaemic Control in Type 1 Diabetes.

Interesting reading. My biggest issue currently is my BG readings the next morning if I have a high fat evening meal. Just can't seem to get it right. I can have a slightly higher bedtime reading, take the appropriate correction and then either be much the same or raised the next morning...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Just had it done again today and was sitting at 45 or 6.3%. Stayed exactly the same since February 2015. Probably won't have it done for another 6 or so months so will see if I can make some more improvements before then.

    Pump referral process

I started going through the process in February 2014 and began pumping in November 2014. Not too long but longer than some. Seemed like an age at the time.

    Pump Clinic

BAck to this lovely place this afternoon for my MOT. Will be interesting to see what the results are now after 8 months on the pump. Likely to be a higher Hba1c on this occasion if the prediction on the DiaConnect app is to be believed. I have had two colds, a throat infection and a very...

    Hypos & IOB

I think it all goes to show what a balancing act it can be at times. When you are low after two hours all factors need to be looked at before acting.

    Your dream job?

There is so much that can be learnt in photography. She will love it if she chooses to do it. Just wish I'd got in to it more when I was school age.

    Your dream job?

I would have loved to have been a photographer. I am lucky enough to be able to do it part time but I don't think I would ever be able to do this full time as I need to have the security of a regular income. It is great to be able to capture peoples memories and a particular time in their life...

    Test strips restriction

It doesn't need to be difficult. Like I said, I've never had an issue but I know that a lot of people do have issues.
