    Libre2 sensors with faulty bluetooth?

Hi Chris, The sensor I was talking about back there never reconnected with Bluetooth to phone or reader for the rest of the time I had it on. However, more recently when I was trying to get both apps working on a different sensor, both stopped connecting, but that time after deleting both...

A little more info on Apple's attempts to develop a non invasive monitor

I don't think it's news that they've been trying for a while, but there were a few bits in this article that were new to me. (before getting anyone's hopes up, it sounds like they're still a long way off a working device) https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/01/apple-watch-blood-sugar-monitoring/

    13.4 in a non diabetic?

You mentioned that after a full roast dinner and dessert it wasn't as high - that does make sense. That would give me a big rise, but over several hours, and in a non diabetic the natural insulin should easily keep up. It seems counter intuitive but if I'm going to eat something sweet like a...

    Omega-3 fatty acids

My understanding is that the evidence for any benefits from omega 3 supplements is inconclusive. I try and get enough through diet (so lots of fish, eggs, nuts and seeds) for heart health.

Libre 2 - compatibility with Moto (7)) power +- grateful for any feedback

Hi, Are you asking if you can use the LibreLink Android app on a Moto G7 Power phone? I believe the answer is probably, depending on the exact model. The important thing is that it has NFC and Bluetooth and at least Android 5. It looks like there were a few variants of the G7 for...

    Don't find this helpful

Hi @Ricku2 Many of us find the Libre tends to exaggerate low readings, and I'd trust the finger prick number over it (though that also has a margin of error). If you're diet only I don't think occasional readings of 3.4 are anything to worry about. For those of us on insulin they give us this...

    Am I imagining this ?

To clarify to the point about dose dependent duration, here's a figure (from here). Bigger doses don't just bring down sugars more, they continue acting for longer. I believe a similar effect happens to varying degrees with other insulins. So doses much bigger than typical for most could be...

    Am I imagining this ?

To answer your initial question bluntly - yes, I think you are. This extreme focus on dust mites seems like a big distraction, and getting in the way of you improving your situation. I do believe allergies could play a moderate role in varying BG levels, but small compared to the basics of...

How much time do you spend having low blood sugar (<4mmol/L)?

What I still want to know is how low does it have to be to be harmful in itself. So not just because it might go lower in the short term, or might reduce warning signs and cause it to go lower at some point in the future - at what level does some form of damage occur due to the level at that...

How much time do you spend having low blood sugar (<4mmol/L)?

I'm also interested in this. I think in the USA and other countries that use mg/DL, 70 is often considered the threshold, which is just below 3.9, so already a little lower than we get told in the UK. Treating the hypo threshold number as a fixed value for everyone seems a bit strange to me...

Did anyone try the new WANWEN Blood Sugar Monitor Watch?

I guess if non diabetics try these watches it might not be obvious to them that the results are fake, since their sugars stay in the normal range and they aren't used to testing their blood and recognising the feeling of highs and lows. If someone's levels always stay between 4 and 7, and you...

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

That seems reasonable, and I was expecting to only be able to have the BT connection with one, but @Jaylee and @SimonPC seemed to be saying they keep both? I'd be happy with LL as NFC only, and the alarms only on DB with BT, but just can't get this working.

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

For those successfully using both, which Android are you on? and which version of Diabox? I'm on Android 13, and wondering if it's related to the changes in Bluetooth low energy. I tried once more, and again, scanning with DB after LL is started and running breaks the BT connection with LL, and...

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

Also, it appears that clearing the Bluetooth cache is no longer an option on Android 13.

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

Thanks, I was thinking restarting the phone and switching Bluetooth off and on was enough, but I didn't try clearing the cache. For those that have Diabox and LibreLink working together, have any of you successfully started Diabox after the 1 hour startup period of LibreLink? and if so, does...

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

Okay, I uninstalled Diabox, and uninstalled then reinstalled LibreLink, and at least that now connects via BT. It meant losing the data in the app though (I know it's still there in LibreView, but it's nice to have the stats on the phone). It's all a bit frustrating.

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

It seems I spoke too soon, and the problems are continuing! I realised Xdrip+(via OOP2) only gets the data every 5 minutes, which isn't ideal. So I decided to give DiaBox another go simultaneously with LL, since many here say that works well for them. I've used Diabox before on its own and...

    type 1 diabetes

They might want to check for MODY. This often gets misdiagnosed as Type 1 at first, and runs in families. There are a few threads on this forum about it. Anyway, getting the tests seems a good idea, as more certainty about the right diagnosis could lead to better treatment.

    Smart watches

I believe there is not yet any commercially available non invasive glucose measuring watch that actually works, and the ones that are advertised are scams. There are a lot of companies working on it, and if one ever really cracks it I'm sure we'll all hear about it. Many people do get their...

Best settings for Xdrip and LibreLink together?

Ok, I'm not sure exactly what setting I messed up the other day, but it now seems to be working. Xdrip with OOP2 connected via Bluetooth and LibreLink still working for scans.
