    Best non-official Libre2 Android app?

Thanks - that does look good. Do you keep only Diabox running and start sensors with it, or use it in combination with LibreLink?

    Best non-official Libre2 Android app?

What are my options? Back when I was using the Libre 1, I got on well with Xdrip+, sometimes with a bluCon bridge, though that was never very reliable. When I got switched to the Libre2 I decided to give the official Abbott app another go, as it was easy and at least gave me alarms now...

    Freestyle Libre delay/extrapolation

(the other thing I liked about Xdrip was that it would always show readings, even when fast changing or noisy. I hate that the Libre app will 'censor' readings - like 'oh no, it's changing too rapidly for us to give a reading we can be sure is accurate, and it might be an error, so let's just...

    Freestyle Libre delay/extrapolation

Hi - Shortly after I first posted this thread years ago I switched to using Xdrip+ instead of the official Libre app. I find Xdrip much better for getting actual direct info about readings. It does still have extrapolation functions, but in presented in a way that makes it clearer what is...

    Smartwatch/Fitness-tracker recommendations?

Thanks @sno0opy - very helpful. The Garmin ones do look like the kind of thing I'm looking for. I'm not against getting something that can do other less health related smart watch stuff, but that's not a priority for me, so wouldn't want to be paying extra for that.

    Smartwatch/Fitness-tracker recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a smartwatch/fitbit type thing? The main features I'm looking for are: -able to link to a Libre transmitter like BluCon or MiaoMiao for glucose readings with alerts -pulse-oximeter other stuff that would be nice would be heart-rate-variability and sleep-tracking features...

Suspected Covid19 with long lingering symptoms

Thank you - I hadn't seen that thread. Going to read through it now.

Basal change from Levermir to Lantus

I also switched the other way, from Lantus to Levemir. I had already been splitting my Lantus into am and pm, and have also found I need approximately the same number of total daily units with Levemir.

Suspected Covid19 with long lingering symptoms

Hi all, I caught what I strongly suspect was Covid19, starting in early March, and am still struggling with continued symptoms. I've seen the other long running Covid comorbidity thread, but was hoping to connect specifically with other diabetics who have had it (confirmed or suspected). A bit...

    Night time highs!!

Hi Ovi, Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I hope you don't mind if I piggy-back on this thread, as I am in a very similar boat. I was also on Lantus for many years, and switched to Levemir a few months ago, and am still struggling with sugars rising from around 4/5am so I wake up high...

    Worried about Brexit, anyone else?

Where do our other supplies (strips, needles etc) come from? Even if I have insulin, if I can't test I'd be in serious trouble quickly. Guessing these things are a bit easier to stockpile, as less problems with shelf life, but the current situation does not inspire confidence

    Cheapest Freestyle Libre Sensors

Boots don't seem to have any consistent pricing policy (or at least if they do, many of the staff don't know it). They once asked for £63, and couldn't even figure out how to take VAT off on the till, but then the other day they sold me some for £35 each...

    Keeping BluCon on

Thanks Scott, I'll be interested to hear how the MiaoMiao compares. There are things I don't like about the BluCon, like the bulkiness, but it's been great to have the alerts and no awkward scanning. I didn't have much luck with the official Ambrosia app, but XDrip+ works very well.

    Keeping BluCon on

I've recently got a BluCon (to send the results from my Libre to my phone via bluetooth without scanning), and was wondering what others find the best way to keep it on? Using KT tape works, but having to keep peeling it off for showers gets a bit of a pain. I've also tried cutting up a sock...

    Lucozade Alternatives

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Glucose powder is one I hadn't considered. I wouldn't want to be opening and mixing powder when hypo though! I wonder how well it would keep if you mixed up a concentrated solution and left it in a bottle in the fridge. I thought most soft drinks have...

    Lucozade Alternatives

It was indeed approximately halved: https://www.diabetes.ie/lucozade-energy-is-changing/ There used to be around 17g of carbs in 100ml. Sometimes I'd just prefer something concentrated. Coke is good during the day, but if it's late I'd rather not be having caffeine. Maybe I could give...

    Lucozade Alternatives

Lucozade original used to be my go-to hypo treatment for many years. After they halved the sugar content and added sweeteners it's no good (what were they thinking? Surely nobody was drinking it for the taste, but it used to do the job, and you didn't need too much of it). I find liquid better...

Dan Darkes, Type 1 Diabetes Reversal

Fascinating to hear about this, thanks for sharing. I have more questions if you have time: Could you give us a bit of history of what your control was like when you were on insulin? (frequency and levels of highs/lows, HbA1c readings if you have them). How long ago did you last inject insulin...

Test Strip - Prescribing Costs / Choices

Surprised to see that this lists the Accu-Chek Performa strips at the same price as the GlucoRx Nexus. I prefer the meter for the former, but was switched to the latter by my GP, and I assumed that was for cost reasons.
