    Omnipod dash/libre 2

Hiya, sorry for confusion, the 40% reduction was for the sun/heat & not linked to the libre. As first time abroad I was unsure if the reduction would be accurate.

    Omnipod dash/libre 2

Morning everyone, just posting this for a word of warning to ensure you have back up plans, lesson learnt for me! Me & my hubby were lucky enough to spend last week in Tenerife, my first time abroad since using libre 2 & omnipod dash. Thought I was well organised with plenty of spare pods, etc...

Type 2 Best lotion for putting on area after Libre sensor removed

Oh dear, that is rubbish. I've been lucky so far. I've no marks from the sensor but some from the omnipod dash pump. Hope the antihistamine cream works for you

    Omnipod pump

Hi, I am a relatively new user of omnipod dash pump, 5 months now and it takes a good few months to get dosages correct. I was allowed to adjust basal as I saw fit but I would try a carb free day which tell you if your basal is correct or needs adjusting. For the first week did you test BG...

    High BGS before bed.

Hi, try a full day of a tiny amount of carbs at each meal, substitute with no carb/low carb alternatives, this will help you assess if your basal is correct.

    A little help please

Hi, if your blood glucose is high you should increase insulin rather than reduce. You should try carb free/minimal carbs for at least a day to check it is definitely your basal (background) insulin rather than your bolus (food insulin). The sun & heat can make people need less or more insulin...

    Omnipod DASH hell..

I was exactly the same as you Cate. Had about 3 total melt downs as DSN was indicating everything will be great within a couple of months. Not the case for me. Felt it really took me 4 months b4 I could get the hang of meals that required extended bolus & the correct temporary basal programmes...

Type 2 Best lotion for putting on area after Libre sensor removed

Hi, I use baby oil with a cotton wool pad, works well to remove black marks.

    Freestyle libre sensors falling off

Hi, you could try skin-prep by smith&nephew. Makes your skin tacky. I use it with my omnipod dash to keep it stuck to my skin. Works really well.

    Omnipod DASH hell..

That is fantastic news. Really pleased for you. I am the same & it has improved a lot from initial period. A few pods fell off during the extremely hot weather. Sticky tac was recommended from a helpful person on the forum but was a bit painful when taking off as really sticky. I found a better...

New to pump - reducing foot on floor

Hiya I commenced omnipod dash in March & was lucky enough to receive team meetings training. I am on novorapid but another girl was in fiasp, we were all told to change rate 2 hours before. Best of luck.

Thinking about moving to the pump

Hiya It will be a massive help with this. In the first week we had to check our BG every 2 hours including through the night, so you get good insight in to what your body needs. It has massively improved my night time sleep. I never suffered from dawn phenomenon but would frequently wake in...

Type 1 Fiasp insulin vs Act rapid experiencing loss of effectiveness

I've just taken one off my back just above my waist & it worked well. Had to get my daughter to remove it for me as it was tricky. I don't like using my arm but when I do I just use opposite arm to libre. Im 31 years in to the slog oc diabetes. Hope it improves for you.

Type 1 Fiasp insulin vs Act rapid experiencing loss of effectiveness

Hi, I don't have experience of fiasp but using novorapid in omnipod dash & it works well, in case it is fatty lumps have you tried using upper arms, not very attractive but is effective?

Thinking about moving to the pump

Hiya, I started omnipod dash & libre 2 in March this year. A lot of work to begin with to get basal rate correct, I've got 6 different rates throughout the day. My bolus rates remained the same for meals. As only using fast acting insulin it is a lot more sensitive & quite unforgiving. Exercise...

3rd dead sensor in a week

I only started cgm since March, libre 2. Overall I have only experienced the odd sensor falling off after I have bumped it a door frame. Bit of a disaster this afternoon. Quickly changing sensor before attending a funeral & must have pierced a tiny blood vessel. Blood was spurting from the...

    Options for first pump

Hi, I don't have experience of either of these pumps but I am using omnipod dash funded by NHS greater Glasgow & clyde. My only negative thoughts are it struggles to stick during hot weather & kept falling off; a lot of wasted insulin & pods. As you only use fast acting insulin it is extremely...
