Beta cell function improves after bariatric surgery study.

Personally, I'd at least give it a good go before considering invasive surgery.

I had the preconception that the Tee2 read high... I also had the preconception that the SD read higher than the tee2. They both read higher than my accucheck mobile for sure... That said, I ditched the SD as it wasn't consistent and kept the tee2 as at least it was very consistent. My...

23.9 vague diagnosis - not much faith in gp

I find it hard to comprehend a doctor referring for an MRI without a blood check for what are pretty much classic Diabetes symptoms in the first instance.... Personally, I would change doctors.

Do you people get all your diabetes stuff for nothing?

Don't vote Conservative then, or move to a country with devolved administration. England can't have it all ways, it is the South East that voted these monsters into power.

Exercise effect on BG levels advice please

Interesting that so many advocate muscle mass building to reduce insulin resistance. I believe I have gone as far as I can with aerobic workouts, daily walking, jogging, treadmill etc I just dug out the old dumbells from the shed and am about to embark on this routine 3 days a week and see...

The whole of Wales, Scotland and NI is exempt from paying for prescriptions, regardless of income. Middle England keeps voting the Tories in, blame them.

I've finally gotten thru to all that are close to me.... The final breakthrough came last Sunday when I visited the ex mother in law for Sunday dinner with my son. Normally she would shove a roast dinner under my nose and then moan when I leave half of it on the plate. This weekend she...

    Confused!!!!!

This is me too.... I get up every morning around 6-6.4 and often can climb as high as 7.5 within 15 mins. Yet my a1c recently was 5.3 I now no longer check in the mornings as it depresses me. I now only worry about what I can control, after meal peaks, seems to be the right approach for me.

Prediabetes Any LCHF tips to re kick start my FBG reduction ?

^^^^^ this is the key to lowering fbg permanently... I tried it but being skinny the wieght loss was too significant. Jason fung advocates 23/1 personally on 3 to 4 days a week as he does it himself. I've always eaten 23/1 most of my adult life so it did little for me. I found the greatest...
