    Sunday lunch was a lovely lamb shank in red wine gravy, with carrots, green beans, broccoli and a couple of sautéed Maris Pipers.

    Today's lunch was scrambled eggs on sourdough toast (~40g carbs) and for tea I had tagliatelle (~55g carbs) with a home made bolognese-style sauce.

    I kind of agree with @Melgar. I'm Type 2 and a while ago I had ¾ can of Pepsi Max about 7pm, and this is what happened. Nothing much. The rise later was my dinner.

    Today for lunch I had a roast beef sourdough sandwich, and tea was a battered haddock fillet, with carrots and broccoli, followed by a small apple.

    For lunch today I had a red salmon sourdough sandwich. And for tea I had three nests of egg tagliatelle with a home made, spicy minced beef bolognese sauce.

    Today's lunch was a nice wagyu beef burger, plus sprouts fried with chopped mushrooms, cauliflower, organic carrots (they were very nice) and a few small sautéed potatoes.

    For lunch today I had a boiled egg wholemeal sandwich (which was lovely) and for tea I had a defrosted chicken & mushroom Jalfrezi (always tastes better when frozen and defrosted) with a small portion of Basmati rice.

    Welcome. I couldn't get on with metformin, and ditched them after a couple of weeks. That was my decision - not my doctor's. Regarding testing, test just before eating, and again two hours later. The rise in your blood glucose shouldn't be higher than 2 mmol/L and should be less than 8.5 mmol/L...

    Lunch was a supermarket prawn mayonnaise sandwich (a rise of 1.3 mmol/L two hours later). Dinner was a battered haddock fillet, mushrooms and mushy peas.

    I get mine frozen, defrost them and then boil them in the bag (so to speak). I've never cooked a fresh one, mind.

    Today's lunch was a free-range, air-fried, roast chicken, with Brussels sprouts, chunky carrots and some sautéed potatoes.

    Lunch was a couple of high protein rolls with corned beef and mustard. Tea was 100g of spaghetti with a home made "bolognese" sauce.

    This week my smart scale tells me that I lost 0.9 lbs, and that my visceral fat is "good". I'm actually in the 12s now.
