    Low carb sweet fat bomb

I make crackers out of flaxseed/pumpkin/sunflower on diabeticgoodbaking website. They are good to have with cheese or peanut butter or Philadelphia. You can make a chocolate truffle mix with cream and dark chocolate. They can be frozen and taken out now sand again.

Broccoli and Stilton. Sauté an onion in butter, add 2 large heads broccoli and chicken oxo cubes in boiling water, simmer then blitz in blender and add Stilton which will melt and that's it.

    Type 2 weight loss plateau

I was the same but I have been more strict with counting and realise I was probably having closer to 40g carbs than 20g. It's easy done if you eat a lot of veg. I got the new Atkins new you and the Atkins carb counter and I am a lot clearer about how much I am having now. Although I don't eat...

    What can i drink

I have been doing well on Lchf diet but not losing weight and I suspect this is because I am drinking alcohol 2/3 times a week. It seems to lower bg but yet I'm more hungry suggesting not in ketosis, which might be why I am not losing. I am going to cut out all alcohol for 2 weeks and see what...

I can cope with ketosis as after couple days you don't get that hungry, but I love my wine at weekend and don't like to be in ketosis when drinking as I once had a convulsion on an aeroplane after 6 weeks of ketosis on a...

    Carbs

Hi I am low carbing and my 12 year diabetes went from Hba 71 to 51 in 3 months. I cut all carbs from the obvious sources like rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, cereal. It takes some getting your head round but there are alternatives and after a few headaches in the first week and feeling rubbish...

    Noodles

You have to rinse really well as they smell otherwise. They are a bit rubbery but tolerable if you mix with lots of stir fry veg , I added chicken and some soy sauce and minced ginger and garlic to make chow mein. It wasn't bad serbed like this
