    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

Thanks @smidge I guess I'll remove it then! I haven't had it plugged to a pc for about 72 hours so don't think it's related to that. Will take it out and keep it to send to abbott when they inevitably ask!

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

Had my Libre in for 11 days, overall was pretty pleased with seeing the patterns. As of 1pm it is no longer scanning. The only error I get is that it has timed out and not found the sensor. Since abbott are not open at the weekend I can't call them. Has anyone else had this? Did you manage...

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

The only current type of blood glucose monitoring is the finger prick. So here's hoping they one day accept interstitial fluid!

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

Found this on their website. It does say blood glucose

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

I don't have the paperwork to hand, but in fairly certain it says blood glucose making urine or interstitial fluid invalid as pre driving tests

New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

It tests interstitial fluid as opposed to blood. Much like a CGM, it is not approved for ore driving readings. You still have to finger prick

    No fasting for Hba1c?

Interesting, I was told I didn't need to fast. They ask me at clinic when I last ate and I answer (it is usually breakfast a few hours before) and then they carry on. I know they check my cholesterol too

    Food spikes

I pre bolus as often as possible. Breakfast that's a minimum for 30 mins before the meal as it's usually high GI. lunch and dinner about 15 minutes if I'm at home. It's trial and error for how much you need to pre bolus. I also use the dual and square wave functions for some food

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

I've confirmed what I previously thought, Novorapid is not at all rapid on me :( minimal change for almost an hour after Bolus. Means my prebolus regime has gone up!

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

I stopped using the meter for that as I'm on pump and use much smaller dose increments than it allows! I still tick for food/insulin/exercise etc though so I know at a glance when I last ate etc

    End honeymoon period.

Mine hasn't ended yet (20 months) but I do have very rapid changes. Over night my basal needs have doubled on occasions, but at times I do still produce insulin lol it's keeping us on our toes! I do think mine is on its way out

I had my hba1c taken a few weeks ago at 6.8% and Libre estimates 6.9% now so looking fairly accurate for me!
