    Fairly awkward moment at work!

I guess you're right, she probably would feel more uncomfortable about it than me! I may just leave it and if she ever finds out (which I don't expect she will) then I will just tell her I didn't know how to say it when you mentioned it before as I find it hard to talk about haha.. then that...

    Fairly awkward moment at work!

Im not entirely sure why I keep it to myself.. I've always found it quite hard telling people I'm diabetic for some reason, even after 10 years... I don't know how I would tell her now though :/ any ideas?

    Fairly awkward moment at work!

Yesterday at work, my boss was telling me about her friends young daughter who has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.. (She doesn't know I am type 1 as well and have been diagnosed since a young age) ...and she was telling me all about it, like what she has to do and telling me about all...

    Diabetic eye screening

Well I'm guessing the best thing to do would be to ask the eye screening team themselves? As they most likely know if it's something to worry about

    Diabetic eye screening

Just had mine again today about 12 hours ago and if i'm honest my eyes are still slightly sore and I have a headache :/ Only used drops once before and I can't remember, should I be feeling like this? Or should this feeling have gone by now? It was embarrassing talking with my tutor...

I still haven't had an appointment?

I know I shouldn't be ashamed/afraid to admit I don't always remember things, but last time I went I'd not taken my thyroid medication and I just felt like an idiot having to tell her which led to me sort of lying.. I feel like she looks down on me i dont know. Id rather have an appointment...

I still haven't had an appointment?

Thank you, that was helpful.. i think its a good idea to think up questions because otherwise you're out the door before you know it! I always find it hard bringing up concerns though.. i have to be honest. I've had this nearly 10 years and always when asked if I have any problems/questions...

    Which is easier?

Its really interesting seeing all the answers :) I'm going through that drinking stage now and realising maybe it would have been nicer to be diabetic after this stage haha, but there are so many life stages, I think if you could dely diabetes after a certain life event, we'd all pick death as...

    Which is easier?

Also, excuse my choice of words "easier", diabetes is not easy for anyone

    Which is easier?

Obviously nobody will ever know, but which do you think is easier? Being diagnosed young, or older? In some ways I would say being younger because you get used to it more but for so many other reasons I would say being older, but theres pros and cons for both! I was 10 when diagnosed and am...

I still haven't had an appointment?

The last time I went to the diabetes clinic was in December, and I know adults go once a year, especially after DAFNE, but she said she'd make sure I had another appointment in 4 months time. Should I wait for them to send an appointment or should I ask them for an appointment? Also, I always...
