    Diabetes burnout?

I'm 19, been diabetic for just under 10 years and I think what I have at the moment is diabetes burnout.. I just read about it on the website and apparently it's where a diabetic is neglecting what you know you have to do as a diabetic, this particular line is what made me think I'm going...

    Funny hypo moments (in retrospect)

Hahah these are funny! I had one where I was at school and I remember someone saying jokingly "oh Jess you're gonna die cause you're diabetic" so I guess I was acting weird by then.. But I went to my lesson and had my head on the desk doing the worst handwriting ever for my final project :S and...

    meeting guys...

I'm feeling a bit down, I know I'm only young, I'm 19, but I'm feeling down as I haven't been in a relationship for about 2 years and I miss that feeling... I haven't met anyone since my last boyfriend that I am interested or that is interested in me, and I know I'm probably overreacting but I...

    testing/injecting in front of people?

Hey all, I'm nearly 19 and I've had type 1 for about 10 years but I find it so hard to inject in front of people that dont know I'm diabetic. Also to even tell people I'm diabetic I find so hard. I see some people and they don't mind, they just inject anytime, any place. I wish I was like that...

    remembering to test?

I'm nearly 19, I've been diagnosed with type 1 just under 10 years, and I've never really had a problem with this before (maybe because my mum kept on top of it) but recently I don't test my sugars at all, especially after the DAFNE course, as I just inject for the amount of food I'm eating. I...

    Something I've been wondering..

Hey :) Just wanted to say I passed my driving test last week without using glasses, I am very happy about it, but am still considering just getting a cheapish pair of glasses at some point for my "off days" Thanks for your help x

trouble keeping on top of insulin

Im exactly the same! Maybe its something to do with 18 year olds :P I just feel like I'm pushing it to the back of my priorities and ignoring really crutial things like testing, I hardly ever test, and I know thats so dangerous

    Feeling lost

I know exactly what you mean! Well at least I think you do :P I get it sometimes and I feel like I'm not really there and I feel like I'm dreaming or something and I have to take a moment to get back in the zone haha

    Driving License questions!

Ive read in a few places that diabetics have to renew theirs, 1 2 or 3 years after passing.. is this true? If so does it mean you have to retake your test? Ive got my test coming up , im so nervous! Should I tell my instructor that I have type 1 diabetes or doesn't it really matter? Thanks x

    Something I've been wondering..

Hey all :) I'm learning to drive and I don't wear glasses, so obviously I wrote on my provisional lisence that I don't need glasses for driving.. however I know that some days my vision is worse than others (anyone else get that??) And so yeah, most days I am able to read a number plate at the...

    my experience in diabetes...

Firstly, ahh that sounds like you haven't had an easy time! Welcome as well, it's great you're here.. The honeymoon period thing isn't too much to get excited about, it's just a time near when you're diagnosed where your pancreas produces some insulin, but it just means you have to adjust your...
