    When I gave up coffee in order to try a carnivore diet for a few months last year, I made my coffee weaker and weaker until it was worse to drink it than not! Gradual and consistent for the win.

    My glucose is low because I'm just off an extended fast and, I guess, I'm still in the 're-feeding' stage. Anyway, it was 3.7 this morning (and ketones 4.5). I expect to see glucose rise and ketones subside as the week goes on and I incorporate more carbohydrates.

    I'm guessing the nurse thought she was looking at a fasting blood glucose number and not one taken 90 minutes after a carbohydrate containing meal? Could be wrong of course and she may just get startled easily. The numbers on your meter are pretty stellar. :D
