    Type 2 Sleeping (how Many Hours Did You Sleep Last Night?)

    Hi I've been sleeping really well. But I can only go to sleep after reading to about 1.30 - 2.00 am - luckily I'm retired and can sleep in most days, ideally 9.00 ish. My fasting BS been a bit high of late causing me to need more sleep! Used to need about 7.00 hours.

    Yes, thanks she has had major flare up and understands T2 and Hashi links- but her daily readings very erratic and the whole testing exercise is to establish if she has T2.

    Bearing in mind her early morning tests are averaging 5.5 - 6.5 appearing non diabetic - she not or meds or low carbs but has cut back on sugar. But there is a ? over diagnosis. I think she needs to speak to her endocrinologist.

    What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

    7.7 pretty good - as they shot up earlier this year anything from 12 - 18! Seen Endochronologist and he feels I may not be T2 as metformin not working. Await further outcome in Dec on next visit.

    Thoughly endorse that comment Derry60. I just try to err on the side of caution - eat sensibly, exercise mainly walking or keeping active with 2 small grandchildren.

    Mine Didnt trouble till some hours later - when it kicked in it did so big time - required 2 subsequent visit. Yes, shock to the system bound to affect BS levels.

    Not had that experience but I'm T2, however, I had large back molar extracted 3 week ago last Friday - got dry socket and horrific pain - lived on antibiotics and painkillers for 2 weeks. You have my sympathy - not a nice experience. Hopefully someone can answer your question.

    Oh dear hectic day yesterday. Met son from Canada at airport a.m. took daughter to A & E p.m. hubby offered choc ice cream for our dessert - I refused at first then had a weak moment fbs this a.m. 9.4 - mental note to self - say no and stick to it[emoji52]

    Confused and upset

    Bananas are high on 'no no' list - I only have once in a blue moon as a treat. The riper the high in glucose they are - and I happen to love bananas.
