Struggling

I had painful knees a year ago - I was diagnosed in November and by the spring my knees did not hurt at all. I have taken Alpha Lipoic Acid tablets and a lot of my other aches and pains have gone. I do put cinnamon in my coffee, because I like the taste, and I use cumin in cooking - they are supposed to help with diabetes, and the low carb diet has helped me to lose weight.
All these things together have made me feel a good bit younger and I've been going out a lot more and I can walk around easily now - I was using walking poles whenever I went out.

Another well done from me. Pre diagnosis I didn't give a **** what I ate EXCEPT I avoided regular high fat stuff. Then that all changed. I am still learning (a lot) but now do look at the amount of carbs in the food I buy. You probably know but just have a look at the carb figures on a packet of weetabix.
