    Type 1: HbA1c

Oh yes, thank you for pointing that out. I'm new to all of this so it is quite confusing. They had 2 charts in the hospital, the one with the 46 and under as good and then some higher numbers going up and then another chart with 6.0 being in the green area and then a few more numbers lol.

    Type 1: HbA1c

Thank you! I was very surprised by my results. I was told it was the best they had seen in months from someone :)

Very proud of myself, today I went to the hospital and they were 5.6. 3 months ago they were 109!

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

Same for me too! When I was diagnosed and my blood sugars were around 30 and my ketones had risen to 6, I didn't feel sick or anything. I felt normal which confused the doctors lol.

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

@Amy993 dread to think what it could've gone to, glad you recognised it though! :)

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

Oh but hypos are also a blessing if they aren't too bad! I can have a cheeky snack without insulin ;) I'll keep a record on how I feel from now on, should help me more! :)

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

@himtoo no I havent, but I'm going to the hospital tomorrow for my second HbA1c thing so I'll just ask if what I'm feeling is normal :) @db89 I haven't been diagnosed long to recognise what I feel when going hyper :(

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

I guess so but even since day 1, my first hypo didn't make me feel weak, just cold and shaky like any other time lol

    FINALLY GETTING A PUMP

I've just been told that I could be getting mine next week! I'm getting the omnipod :) Also I've never heard of the cellnovo but looks pretty good too!

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

@db89 2.2 just feels the same as something around 3 for me, and I'm not even entirely sure why it doesn't affect me as bad as other people :nailbiting:

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

That's the same as me @catapillar, I only have a weird feeling. Other than that, I'm fine and I've never felt weak or anything @fletchweb that's awful, I'd hate to feel powerless over myself! :(

What is the lowest your blood sugar has been?

Ah, I'm better now thank you haha! How do we get so low without dropping into a coma?!

    Good control today!

Thank you guys! :) I went to the restaurant and ended up balling my eyes out. I guess the reality smacked me in the face.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

108 when I was first diagnosed. Got my second one next week and I've been in excellent control so hopefully it should be below 90 I reckon.

    Good control today!

Haven't stayed in target without dropping too low in ages! Had a cheeky McDonald's at 12ish. I don't expect it to last long though considering I'm going to an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet lol. (sisters bday)

    22 mile sponsored swim!

Good morning/afternoon, everybody :) After seeing what impact diabetes had on my life and after a long post I had written on Facebook about living with Type 1 Diabetes, my mum's friend has decided that she wants to swim a whole 22 miles in order to raise money for Diabetes UK. It would be...

    Newly diagnosed. Drinks?

If you used to drink a lot of juice or fruity drinks, you could try sugar free Vimto, Ribena (I had this today, mmm), Oasis (did not know this existed until I saw some small boy drinking it!). Just check that there's not many carbohydrates in it. If you miss your fizzy drinks, try: Diet Coke...
