Insulin pen and blood glucose monitor case

I got mine from funky pumpers, but it's a myabetic product. It's fantastic. Keeps me really organised and stops the scramble for all the things I need when I go out. Was £24 I think and there were loads of colour options.

    Type 1 Advanced bolus?

I'm a newly diagnosed type 1. I have seen people talking about advanced bolusing before meals. I understand what this is but I was just wondering what the advantages were? What does everyone use to carry their supplies around?

If you go to funky pumpers they have the myabetic things cheaper than anywhere else I found. I love mine and it takes away a lot of stress about organising things to go out.

What does everyone use to carry their supplies around?

I have a myabetic purse which is specially designed for diabetic supplies and has a place for everything. I got mine from a website called funky pumpers for £25. It's brilliant. Keeps me organised and everything I need is at hand.

    Celeriac

I cool the celeriac in milk to make the mash as it means you get a nicer texture, I also whizz it rather than just mash it. I add salt and that's it. Lush. I prefer it to potato mash. I have also discovered the wonders of butternut squash in the last few weeks. I've always loved it but I'm...

    Insulin dose per carbs

Hello, I have recently been diagnosed and taught to carb count and adjust my dose. I take Novorapid and Glargine. So my Novorapid was started at 1U per 10g of carbs but I had lots and lots of hypos with this. So it was changed to 0.7U to 10g and then on a night time I need even less as I need...

First HbA1c after diagnosis 1 month ago

Hello, Yes I have an accu check expert, it is great. My readings are mostly under 6 whether this is before a meal or 2 hours after. My only reading that seems higher is my morning reading which is hovering around the 7 mark. I feel like I have a good grasp on things for now but I know I'm...

First HbA1c after diagnosis 1 month ago

Hello, I just wanted to share that I was diagnosed 32 days ago with type 1 diabetes, my HbA1c was 104. Today I had a new test done and it was down to 70. I'm really happy with this. However my doctor told me that to conceive I need this to be below 48 and generally once you get down to the 50s...
