    I have had a panic attack while getting my pulse checked in my feet. Newly diagnosed type 2. I have a fear of doctors/hospitals/needles the lot. Anyone have the same issue?

    I havent got a monitor yet, but I will be getting one this week. Could very well be dehydration, im feeling better after lots of water. I had lots of water before bed which is odd.

    So I was diagnosed 2 days ago with type 2. Hba1c was 99. Put on slow release metformin 500mg and a follow up on the 22nd with my GP. I'm confused why I haven't been told to get or get given a monitor to test my bloods? I thought that would be vital to see anything that's causing spikes/drops...

    All it says is The result of your Diabetes (HbA1c) test is: 97 mmol/mol (normal range is 20-41 mmol/mol) Results of 48 mmol/mol or more are usually considered high enough to diagnose diabetes. Your results mean that you have diabetes
