    Re-using lancets?

I use to be really bad at changing them, I still have a box of unused lancets from 2006. Yikes! But I’ve been getting better at changing them because it gets quite painful with a very used lancet

Nothing is wrong with the libre, just lack of alerts and I was saving them to donate to my diabetes centre.

Does anyone know where I can buy or trade a libre sensor for one Dexcom sensor? My nurse gave me 3 sensors to last until pump therapy and after tomorrow, I am on my last sensor so I have 1.5 weeks without it. I have the transmitter, so I just need an additional sensor.

    Just started Soliqua 100/50

Hello Metformin isn’t a blood glucose lowering drug, I think it’s your soliqua that is helping with your blood readings. Lantus is a background insulin that keeps your BG stable throughout the day.

    Pump downgrade from medtronic!!

Oh sorry for the late reply, from her caption, it sounds similar to yours but I apologise in advance if it doesn’t. The female was in Germany for 3-4 years and then went to America.

Insulin pump preparation: what do I do?

Hello friends, When I received my Dexcom on 24th December 2019. My nurse explained the 3 appointments to me and she said I can start pump therapy on 17th January which is my first appointment but if I don’t feel ready, I can start the week after. In theory if I felt ready, do I skip Tresiba on...

Hello friends, 9.1 to start off the afternoon and I’ve landed two job interviews for permanent/ fixed contracts. Zero hour contracts while they are good, it wasn’t providing me any stability. It is pushing my anxiety up everyday because I don’t know when I’m getting work.

Not sure if I should take my night insulin tonight

Hello, yes your BG will rise once novorapid is out of your system. If I remember correctly, if your background insulin is correct, you shouldn’t go hypo or run high. Background insulin is designed in a way to keep you stable through the night and in-between meals. The number you go to bed on is...

Not sure if I should take my night insulin tonight

Hello Lantus is your background insulin, which will keep you stable during the night until morning. So if you have not taken your background insulin, it’ll be the right thing to do. Your novorapid doesn’t last long in your body, so you’ll run high.

Hello friends, TOM is here and I’m grumpy, extremely hunger and tired. Despite less hours of work this week, I’m going to enjoy it because it’s the period girl’s dream to eat and sleep. When I was doing DAFNE two months ago, the dietitian who was also a type 1 on a pump, lovely woman but she...

That changes everything, could it be too slow for some people? Do you know if that implies to tubes pumps?

Hello friends, A bit of a steady slow high reading this morning 9.3 to start and slowly crept up to 10.5 then 11.2. I may have accidentally did a small rage bolus and landed in good range, then hypoed before dinner. So here I am with slightly blurry vision.

Hello again friends, I just wanted to report that it’s been less than 20 days on my Dexcom and I’m feeling hypo tingles around 3.5 mmol/l mark. (Nothing dramatic like sweating or shaking though) A slight improvement that I am extremely happy about.

Has much improved? Why has it been so frustrating? Is it basal rates are not quite right? Delivery insulin rates are too slow? I hope things work out soon for you :(
