Me and my son had the Oxford jab yesterday, I’m a bit tired but no raise in blood sugars, my son however was ill all night with aching body and feeling unwell, he has slept for hours and woke up feeling a lot better and back to his normal self.

    Covid Vaccine, so soon?

The groups are moving down a lot quicker I don’t know for fact of course but because so many people are not taking up the invitation to have there’s for one reason it another. Think 2 million have not come forward to have the vaccine in the over 70’s

    Seriously low carb

I’ve had a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich this morning, taste was ok and my blood sugar was 5.7 after testing. It’s not something I will have a lot but will be nice just to have a quick slice of toast for breakfast instead of doing the whole cooking thing so it’s a win from me [emoji847]

    Metformin slow release

From personal experience, when I started taking them without food my blood sugar never changed, soon as I had food it would start to go down. I now have them with my breakfast and evening meal and work brilliantly.

    Metformin and dizziness

Just to answer your question, I did have spouts of dizziness to start with when I started taking metformin, it didn’t last too long and I don’t have any other side effects either. It soon passed, hopefully it will for you too, should it continue I would head back to the docs and ask a few...

Advice on Low calorie diet welcome

My suggestion would be to Download the “lose it” app I lost around 7 stone on it, I’ve now started low carb for the past 4 months. It helps you keep on track, you can scan foods so you know what’s in it. [emoji5] hope this helps

It's all going wrong for me.

I took empagliflozin or jardiance is an easier word for me to pronounce. It made me feel a bit spaced out and dizzy but after a a week no side effects. I was exercising, it did lower my bloods quite rapidly and I did have some hypos. Keep monitoring and carry some sweets.. I have not taken...
