Everyone I speak to about my diabetes (GP/DSN, etc...) see's me as being awkward. It infuriates me that their method of "trial and error" has to be follopwed by a patient in order to be seen as being "compliant".

This is a can of worms. I've read some bad stuff about Fructose... I know that Grapes and Bananas are of th emenu for a lot of people - but I've always found Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, etc, don't have much impact...

Anyone know anything about the differences? For instance - how effective is injected insulin at reducing BG that are elevated due to Glucogenesis? I've got a pretty stressful job, and I wonder if elevated levels of cortisol are leading to hi-BG?

I been "advised to start an insulin regime - Basal & Bolus insulin. But my C-Peptide results came in at 18'ish - so I AM producing LOTS OF insulin... I don't like th eidea of taking MORE insulin, especially with reports like this turning up...

Low carb DEFINITELY doesn't mean low trigs for me... :( I'm still low carbing, but my BG is wild. Fasting this morning was 13.8!!! I don't drink (much) any more. They really can't tell me why my Trigs are so high... Excercising plenty - Basketball twice a week (!) I've tried to avoid...
