    Low Carb advice

I only got my first ever libre yesterday but it's already been eye opening. I have Hba1c's that hover in the 40's but have been oblivious to seeing numbers like on the graph attached. Family day out - not much choice of food so had a tray of chips. Diabetics worst nightmare I know but there we...

What does your Freestyle Libre graph look like?

Had my first ever one today! Would anyone be willing to share examples of their graphs? Just of of curiosity really! Do you find it accurate compared to using a meter? I have found I'm getting higher readings on it compared to my meter so far!

How to I deal with all this?!

@HSSS do you also have symptoms? I did have a weak positive for anti parietal cells a few years back but can't get anyone to test again since my serum B12 has been in the 300s and 400s. Nobody will test my active either - it's a battle.

How to I deal with all this?!

@HSSS I think a lot of the time people just get told it's idiopathic and there's nothing they can do. I think I've developed all the symptoms really quickly. I don't know of any other diabetics who have all this autonimic dysfunction this soon in to diagnosis. I really want to try B12...

How to I deal with all this?!

@EllieM thank you for your reply. I am feeling so sorry for myself tonight and just don't know where to turn. I'm tired of getting nowhere with doctors/specialists and for constantly waiting for appointments that get me nowhere. My Dad has diabetes (assuming MODY as it's all on that side of my...

How to I deal with all this?!

I am at breaking point. I have MODY. I was initially diagnosed with gestational diabetes in 2016 with a Hba1c of 54. Down to 42 by the end of the pregnancy and told to discontinue insulin after delivery. Six months later I went in to DKA...No idea what my sugars were over those six months as...

How long does it take to develop autonomic neuropathy?

I have had the basic serum test with the GP and my levels have been in the 300s or 400s. They say it's not a problem. I do agree that a lot sound like B12 deficiency and I'm yet to to come across anyone with the same symptoms as me after being diagnosed for a relatively short period with mainly...

How long does it take to develop autonomic neuropathy?

Have posted about this recently. I haven't been diagnosed but definitely have it with all my symptoms. Neurologist already said I have small fiber neuropathy from presentation with burning feet. Autonimic symptoms are much more bothersome and started first and seem to be increasing at an...

Who has experience with autonomic neuropathy?

You've all given me so much comfort. Thank you so much for your lovely messages. I have MODY which was picked up in the third trimester of my first pregnancy. By then I was having symptoms of thirst and fatigue and my Hba1c was 54 at diagnosis. My fear is that I now have all these symptoms...

Who has experience with autonomic neuropathy?

My endocrinoligist disagrees with diabetes as the reason considering the length of time I have had diabetes and the good control I've had for the duration. Small fiber neuropathy/autonomic dysfunction doesn't seem to be that common amongst the diabetic community despite it being the number one...

Who has experience with autonomic neuropathy?

I saw a neurologist at the start of December who said I had it and there was no cure. I can't understand after having diabetes for 6 years with good control - all this has happened to me.

Who has experience with autonomic neuropathy?

Been diagnosed for 6 years. Hba1c at diagnosis when pregnant was 54 - subsequent Hba1c's have mainly been in the 30s and 40s. Saw a neurologist who believes I have small fiber neuropathy linked to diabetes. I have lots of autonomic symptoms like episodes of low blood pressure, nausea, adrenaline...

Has anyone managed to reverse autonomic neuropathy?

Diagnosed with MODY nearly 6 years ago. Hba1cs have ranged from in the 30s up to the highest of 56. 2 years ago started to experience light headedness, fatigue, breathlessness and since then other symptoms have followed...spells of nausea, tachycardia, burning feet, crawling sensation on scalp...

    Help with Neuropathy

Hi, I'm really struggling at the moment and would appreciate any advice/similar stories from anyone in a similar position. I was diagnosed with MODY diabetes 5 years ago following an incorrect diagnosis of gestational, Type 1, then Type 2 diabetes following pregnancy. I chose to continue with...
