    Fed up

Oh I can't eat celery. I don't like the taste and it has a stupid effect on me. If I eat it or eat something that a but bit has touched I soon know because my nose itch's like mad. It lasts for some time and I just can't stop scratching my nose.

    Quercus Oak

That's an acorn. Acorns contain tannins that can cause upset stomachs. They are very bitter tasting. Personally I wouldn't eat them. Edited to say that dogs, cattle and horses can get really ill eating them.

    Fed up

Hi @Kittym80 are you on any other medication apart from Metformin. People on here will need to know in order to help you. If it helps at all I was 114 kgs when I was diagnosed in July with an A1c of 67 and a fasting blood glucose level of 10.3 and my LFT's was somewhere in the 80's and my...

    Blood Pressure: Mountain, Molehill?

He's just been on the telly again and apparently they can't say that drinking coffee is is good for our health especially when it's drunk with CREAM.:).............. and other things such as sugar and syrups.

Help! I have so much weight to lose

@ickihun Have you got to lose 9st before they'll do bariatric surgery? I'm guessing that the 4st is off the 9 so you are almost halfway there which is brilliant. Glad to read that you are so much healthier than last year.

    Blood Pressure: Mountain, Molehill?

Sorry to rain on your parade but one of the researchers from Southampton was just on the BBC news saying that that might not be the case. That the studies just had too many variables in them to be able to say that coffee is good for us. The 'suggests' bit is the important part of the above...

    Need a new hobby

@Art Of Flowers 2 gardens that I've never visited. I used to love wandering around gardens and was lucky to see some v good private ones before their owners/designers/gardeners died. Never forget my first sighting of a fully out in flower Kiftsgate at Kiftsgate.

    Temper

Are you new to the BP drugs? I've known some people who have become really bad tempered when put on them and they've had to go back and get them changed and then they've been okay. If my bloods go down to around 5 then I get ratty.

I have given myself too much insulin instead of insulin and Victoza.

I thought that if you take too much insulin then you'll have a Hypo so you need to test and keep testing and prepare to eat something sweet. I'm a non medicator so I'm not sure. I've reported your post to the mods so that they can help out in others don't come it quickly.

Hopefully a step forward in developing a Libre feedback channel

I can't work it out. I can find something once and then not again. It's a lottery BUT it's the preferred means of communication for the supporters of a hobby of mine so if I want to know what's going on and the gossip then I have to use it.

Hopefully a step forward in developing a Libre feedback channel

I have moaned and moaned about my Libre on here and also to Abbott. My problem is the very low readings that I started getting within the first 2 weeks of me using it. Finger pricks put me up 2.5 higher. Prior to my last A1c I looked at the reading and just added 2. Then came the A1c and it...

LOL I don't know which FB Abbott page you are on but the one that I am I noticed only tonight someone on there asking for people to stop moaning about delivery times because they couldn't stand to read anymore of them.

    Patient access

I didn't know that people could get their test results on-line before I came here. It's been a real eye opener this having T2. Before I would have been one of those people who say to me but if your nurse/doctor tells you to eat carbs then you should do it because they know best. That is...

    Disappointed

Oi! You have done so well and it's just a number, one number. I've never really understood these cut off points. Why is it if I am 42 I'm diabetic but 41 I'm not. Makes no real sense to me. Just a line in the sand. You control is great and you've been working hard for this over months...
